ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

We are seeking a skilled Oracle Database Administrator to manage our project's Oracle database systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing Oracle databases to ensure their availability, reliability, and security. You will work closely with development teams to support data management needs and ensure the performance and integrity of our database systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and maintain Oracle database software.
  • Create storage database structures with high-level security features.
  • Alter database structures as needed to meet evolving business requirements.
  • Manage user access and security to the database.
  • Implement backup and recovery plans to protect against data loss.
  • Monitor and optimize database performance.
  • Identify and resolve database issues.
  • Implement disaster recovery plans.
  • Work closely with development teams to improve database performance.
  • Create and manage multiple databases and assist in capacity planning.
  • Monitor, optimize, and allocate physical data storage for database systems.
  • Plan for future database expansion requirements.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • 5+ year's experience as Oracle Database administrator
  • Familiarity with Oracle database design, coding, and documentation.
  • Knowledge of database backup procedures, recovery systems, and SQL.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to visualize algorithmic structures.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Candidates must have lived in the United States 3 out of the past 5 years.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • Experience in Postgres.
  • Healthcare IT experience.
  • Public Healthcare/CMS experience.
  • Related Industry/Agile/SAFe certification(s).

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
