Position: Oracle OCI Services and Solutions Architect

Location: Richmond, VA ,Onsite – 4 days/week required

Duration: 12+ months

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Oracle OCI Services and Solutions Architect to assist with the design, review, and implementation of Oracle OCI services and solution offerings. This role will collaborate with customer agencies, managed cloud service providers, and internal technical teams to ensure that cloud architectures and environments are secure, compliant, efficient, and aligned with industry best practices and well-architected frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of solutions using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services.
• Review proposed projects and changes for technical soundness, security compliance, and fiscal responsibility.
• Support the migration and implementation of operating systems and enterprise applications to OCI.
• Develop and maintain cloud architecture documentation, including reference models, diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Ensure security and compliance with regulatory frameworks (NIST, PCI, FedRAMP, CJIS, etc.).
• Advise on cloud-native technologies including containers, serverless computing, database-as-a-service, and automation tools.
• Provide clear technical presentations and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Work closely with customers to understand business priorities and deliver cloud solutions accordingly.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Cloud-native architecture paradigms, patterns, and security methodologies
• Designing solutions in Oracle OCI
• Oracle OCI certifications (Ops, Architecture, Security, etc.)
• Cloud reference models, architecture diagrams, and design documentation
• Implementing/migrating/managing enterprise systems in cloud
• Cloud networking (VNETs, VPN, subnets, security groups, load balancers, etc.)
• Security and control reviews of IT projects/changes
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Reviewing solutions for technical and fiscal accuracy
• Working with security/compliance frameworks (NIST, PCI, CJIS, FedRAMP)
• Cloud-native technologies (containers, serverless, functions, DBaaS, etc.)
• Scripting and automation tools (Jenkins, GitHub, Terraform)
• Configuration management/monitoring tools (Puppet, OCI Monitoring, Splunk, etc.)
• College degree in related field or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Oracle Cloud certifications.
• Hands-on experience with large-scale cloud migrations and hybrid cloud architectures.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
