Your Mission

Nuvei is looking for an Oracle Cloud Technical Architect to lead the Oracle technical layer of the UFS Reimagined program within the Global Finance organization. The program is delivering Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP and EPM across the Nuvei finance landscape in two waves, alongside a systems integrator and a number of specialist partners for 3rd party solutions being implemented in parallel. This role sits on the Nuvei side of that program and holds the Oracle technical authority for Global Finance.

The person in this role sets the standard and stands behind it. They will review and approve the integration architecture proposed by the systems integrator, define connectivity, identity, and environment requirements across the Oracle ecosystem, lead the architecture and security clearance work for the Oracle connections to Kyriba and Sovos, and cover the Oracle Integration Cloud posting path from the business rules platform into the general ledger. Where a design decision has to be made, defended, or refused, this person makes it.

The role reports to the Director, Oracle Solutions and works in close collaboration with functional business process leads, the systems integrator's technical team, Nuvei's enterprise architecture and information security teams, the incoming application managed support partner, and the owners of the upstream and downstream systems that Oracle Fusion Cloud connects to. It is a hands-on architecture role, not a coordination role, and it continues beyond go-live as the permanent Oracle technical owner within Nuvei.

This role will suit someone with ten or more years of Oracle technical experience, including several full Fusion Cloud implementation lifecycles from requirements through cutover and hypercare, who has carried architecture accountability through a security and compliance approval process and has taken a newly implemented ecosystem into a sustained support model.

Responsibilities

The role covers four areas. The balance of work shifts across the program, moving from integration architecture and clearance work during the build, through cutover and hypercare at each wave, into sustained ownership of the Oracle ecosystem once the application managed support model is running.

Integration Architecture and Oracle Integration Cloud

•         Review the systems integrator's solution design for every in-scope interface and confirm the appropriate Oracle Integration Cloud or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure integration pattern, including orchestration, scheduling, retries, idempotency, and recovery behaviour.

•         Define endpoints, authentication, service accounts, certificates, encryption, privileged access, network routes, and environment-specific configuration for each connection between Oracle Fusion Cloud and the surrounding application ecosystem.

•         Facilitate the technical discussions between the systems integrator and the peripheral system teams, covering systems governed by Finance, Corporate-IT, systems outside its current footprint, and third-party managed platforms, and hold the functional and technical flow of each interface.

•         Document the standards the build is held to for orchestration, scheduling, retries, error handling, logging, monitoring, and alerting, and review partner-produced designs against them.

•         Own the Oracle Integration Cloud posting path from the business rules platform on Azure and Snowflake into the Oracle general ledger, including file-based data import, aggregated journal delivery, drill-back lineage, and reconciliation points.

•         Lead architecture checkpoints during build and testing, approve deviations from the agreed standards, and authorize the technical transition of each interface into production.

Architecture, Security, and Cloud Clearances

•         Lead the Oracle side of the architecture and security clearances required for Oracle Fusion Cloud to connect to the Kyriba and Sovos cloud platforms, both of which hold Nuvei data on third-party infrastructure and clear on their own merits.

•         Produce the evidence the enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, privacy, and third-party risk forums require, including context and data-flow diagrams, control assessments, test results, and remediation status.

•         Translate approval conditions into actionable design, configuration, testing, and evidence requirements, and drive them to closure with the partner, vendor, security, and infrastructure teams before production deployment.

•         Contribute the Oracle integration and technical assurance view to the business rules management platform being built on Nuvei's own Azure tenant, including its architecture and security clearance packs.

•         Confirm environment topology, segregation, capacity, availability, performance, scalability, configuration management, deployment paths, and separation of duties across the Oracle landscape.

•         Accept the formal handover from the enterprise and infrastructure architects, validating decisions, conditions, accepted exceptions, dependencies, risks, and open actions, and carry them forward as the standing Oracle technical authority.

Post Go-Live Sustainment and the Hybrid Support Model

•         Represent Nuvei in the selection and onboarding of the application managed support partner, including responses to vendor clarifications, evaluation of proposed support models, and technical assessment of the bids.

•         Own the in-house share of the hybrid support model, covering infrastructure, IT service management, and the portion of the integration ecosystem that is retained rather than outsourced.

•         Lead the knowledge transition from the systems integrator into Global Finance and the support partner, and confirm that support ownership, service expectations, incident routing, and escalation paths are agreed for every production interface.

•         Govern the hypercare period at each wave, then the steady-state support model, ensuring month-end close and year-end are treated as the critical windows they are.

•         Define the technical side of the proactive operations monitoring model, including thresholds, observability, alert routing, dashboards, and the runbooks each participating team operates from.

•         Carry wave-one lessons into wave-two readiness for the larger and more complex regional scope and maintain technical authority for clearance-related changes and exceptions through the sustainment period.

Environment, Ecosystem, and Technical Governance

•         Own the Oracle Fusion Cloud environment landscape, including refresh planning, environment scheduling across workstreams, quarterly update readiness, and regression coverage.

•         Govern the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure tenancy supporting the ecosystem, including compartments, identity domains, policies, network topology, service limits, cost, and service health.

•         Set the technical standards for Fusion security, including role design support, data access sets, and segregation of duties, and review changes against them.

•         Assess non-functional requirements for availability, performance, scalability, resilience, disaster recovery, auditability, and supportability before any build is approved.

•         Review deployment and support artefacts, approve the final technical evidence and handover, and ensure the ecosystem remains compliant and supportable after implementation.

Requirements

•         Ten or more years of hands-on Oracle technical experience, including multiple full Oracle Fusion Cloud implementation lifecycles from requirements through cutover and hypercare.

•         Demonstrated architecture accountability on an Oracle Fusion Cloud program, including ownership of integration architecture, technical standards, and design approval across a partner-delivered build.

•         Deep, current Oracle Integration Cloud experience covering orchestrations, adapters, mappings, fault handling, scheduling, and the review of designs produced by others.

•         Strong command of Oracle Fusion Cloud integration surfaces, including REST and SOAP web services, the ERP Integration Service, file-based data import, and business events.

•         Practical Oracle Cloud Infrastructure experience across identity and access management, compartments, policies, networking, and service limits, sufficient to govern a tenancy rather than only operate in one.

•         Experience taking an Oracle ecosystem through enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, and third-party risk clearance, including evidence packs, conditions, compensating controls, and formal approval.

•         Experience integrating Oracle Fusion Cloud with third-party software-as-a-service platforms hosted outside the corporate network, including connectivity, certificate, and identity design.

•         Working knowledge of cloud data platforms such as Azure and Snowflake, sufficient to design and assure the interface between a rules-based subledger and the Oracle general ledger.

•         Strong SQL and PL/SQL, together with reporting knowledge across BI Publisher and OTBI, sufficient to review, challenge, and troubleshoot technical objects built by others.

•         Experience transitioning a newly implemented Oracle ecosystem into a managed support model, including hybrid arrangements shared between an internal team and a support partner.

•         Clear and direct communicator, able to hold a position in an architecture or security review and to work effectively with finance leadership, partner technical teams, and system owners.

•         Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Assets

•         Experience across the Oracle Fusion Cloud financials footprint, particularly General Ledger, Payables, Receivables, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, and Projects.

•         Exposure to Oracle EPM Cloud and its integration with Fusion ERP through Data Management or Data Integration.

•         Experience with high-volume transactional integration in a payments, fintech, or financial services environment, including daily settlement and reconciliation cycles.

•         Familiarity with treasury and indirect tax cloud platforms such as Kyriba and Sovos, and with the integration patterns they require.

•         Oracle certification in Integration Cloud, Cloud Infrastructure architecture, or Fusion Financials.

•         Experience of a business rules engine, decision-table, or rules-driven subledger platform, and of the controls that make one auditable.

•         Working knowledge of DevOps practice for cloud integration, including source control, automated deployment, and release governance.
