Job Summary

The Optometrist will provide comprehensive primary eye care services by examining, diagnosing, managing, and treating vision and eye-related conditions to promote optimal eye health and improve patients' quality of life. Working as part of the clinical team at Third Care Eye Clinic, the Optometrist will deliver high-quality patient care, prescribe corrective lenses, detect ocular diseases, and educate patients on maintaining healthy vision. This role is suitable for qualified Optometrists with 0–2 years of relevant experience who are committed to clinical excellence, compassionate patient care, and continuous professional development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess visual acuity, eye health, and refractive errors.
  • Diagnose and manage common vision and eye-related conditions, referring patients to ophthalmologists or other specialists when necessary.
  • Prescribe and fit appropriate corrective lenses, including spectacles and contact lenses, based on patients' visual needs.
  • Detect early signs of ocular diseases and systemic conditions affecting eye health, and recommend appropriate treatment or referral.
  • Educate patients on eye health, preventive care, proper use of corrective lenses, and treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date patient records in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
  • Operate and maintain ophthalmic diagnostic equipment to perform clinical assessments and support accurate diagnoses.
  • Monitor patients with ongoing eye conditions and provide follow-up care to evaluate treatment outcomes and adjust management plans as needed.
  • Deliver excellent customer service by providing a professional, empathetic, and patient-centered experience throughout the consultation process.
  • Collaborate with other clinical and administrative staff to ensure efficient clinic operations and high-quality patient care.
  • Stay current with developments in optometry, clinical guidelines, and emerging eye care technologies through continuous professional development.
  • Perform other clinical and administrative duties as assigned to support the effective operation of the clinic.


Skills Required

  • Licensed/Qualified Optometrist
  • 0-2 years of relevant optometry experience
  • Ability to perform comprehensive eye examinations and prescribe corrective lenses
  • Proficiency operating ophthalmic diagnostic equipment
  • Strong patient communication and empathetic patient care
