Role Summary:
As an Options Platform Analyst at Citadel Securities, you will become an expert in electronic trading platforms, systematic trading strategy, and market microstructure. You will work with best-in-class processes and controls to enable the firm's trading strategies and manage the firm's financial and regulatory risks. You will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and will help solve a wide range of complex challenges. You will collaborate closely with the wider team to help identify opportunities to drive revenue and growth.
Objectives:
• Innovate, design, implement, and run analytics on the options market making business
• Strong focus on the automation of reporting and anomaly detection, as well as first-principles investigation into trade and position data to highlight opportunity in all aspects of market making (quoting, taking, microstructure, pnl)
• Ad-hoc reporting for C-suite as requested
• Employ technical expertise and domain knowledge to develop new insights into the systematic trading platform, driving enhanced revenue, efficiency, and resilience
• Conduct investigation into trade and position data, both at the most granular level (tick-by-tick market data, exchange feed messages, etc), and at scale (multi-year analysis across trade-able universe)
• Visualize complex datasets that will inform both strategic business and tactical trading decisions
• Collaborate with traders, quantitative researchers, and developers to share knowledge amongst each other and implement change
• Maintain and improve the platform's existing suite of tools and reports
• Reconciliation of heterogeneous data sources
Skills and Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in STEM program from a top institution
• In-depth data analytic experience in Python (pandas/polars, plotly, etc...) and SQL; High Performance Computing, C++, KDB+/Q experience a plus but not required
• Experience working on data pipelines and automating manual processes
• Strong attention to detail and a desire to work on detail-oriented data tasks
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrated self-starter, with the drive and can-do attitude to learn new things and push through challenges to deliver results
• Excellent problem-solving and strategic decision-making ability; able to keep the big picture in mind, making informed and defensible decisions in a fast-paced trading environment
• Prior experience in electronic trading is a plus, eagerness to learn required
