As an Options Sales Trader you will be part of a team bringing in new exciting flow to the trading desk and contributing significantly to the firm's PnL. The desk structure is flat and entrepreneurial, like a startup - there are many paths to success and all ideas are welcomed and explored. Working on this desk is dynamic and fast paced - from thinking quickly on your feet in a counterparty meeting to acting quickly and calmly when dealing with a counterparty trade on desk.
Your Core Responsibilities:
- Identify new potential counterparties and convince them to trade with IMC
- Regular travel (Europe and Global) to build and strengthen relationships with new and existing counterparties
- Attend conferences: represent IMC and increase awareness of our direct trading offering
- Discuss market flows with counterparties
- Collect counterparty feedback and identify new potential additions to our service and product offering
- Manage interactions between counterparties and IMC traders
- Execute trades in close collaboration with the trading desk
- Research market & competitor trends in the equity derivatives space
- Leverage IMC's data and research tools to perform trade analysis to better inform our trading decisions
Your Skills and Experience:
- BA/BS in Finance, Economics or quantitative field
- 2+ years of experience in an options sales or trading related role
- Good knowledge of options theory and trading
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Outgoing and engaging personality
- Entrepreneurial mindset
- Fluency in one or more European languages preferable
- Python coding skills are a plus
