Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive testing and validation of new optical networking products, ensuring they meet performance, reliability, and interoperability standards.

- Document test procedures, results, and findings, ensuring accurate and comprehensive records for future reference and knowledge sharing.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in optical networking to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
- Engage with hyperscaler and strategic customers to understand their unique requirements and provide tailored solutions and support.
- Participate in customer demonstrations and proof-of-concept projects, showcasing the capabilities and benefits of our optical networking solutions.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting during the deployment and integration of new products, ensuring a smooth and successful customer experience.
- Lab Management tasks such as inventory management, CAPEX/OPEX planning might be required.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, with a strong focus on optical networking and IP technologies.
Minimum 5 years of experience in optical networking engineering, with a proven track record in testing and validation of optical networking solutions.
- Hands-on experience with optical network equipment, such as transceivers, amplifiers, and optical add/drop multiplexers (OADMs).
- Proficiency in optical network design, planning, and optimization, considering factors like capacity, reach, and network topology.
- Must have strong leadership skills and be able to remain calm and focused in stressful situations. This includes the ability to maintain order and a methodical troubleshooting approach that is focused on successful lab trial. It also requires cross-organizational leadership skills that will build healthy relationship and obtain required support through professional and productive method
- Experience in a centralized repair/troubleshooting/testing environment that includes SONET, SDH, DWDM, OTN, TCP/IP, and routing / switching
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple issues, projects, and/or duties simultaneously
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Willingness to stay updated with emerging technologies and trends in the optical networking industry.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic test environment
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required for customer engagements and project deployments.
