We are looking for an Optical expert to join our team. In this role you will be involved in research and development, testing, and qualification of image quality and hardware parts to deliver superior camera products.
Job SummaryAs an Optical Engineer, you will search solutions to complex challenges, work in the R&D lab, and provide optical engineering support for lens modules and illumination subsystems throughout the design, analysis, and testing stages.
Responsibilities- Specify, design, select, and qualify optical elements for camera module
- Evaluate impact on the image quality of the camera from optical elements
- Explore and develop new metrology for complete evaluation of camera image performance
- Perform analysis and testing of illumination systems
- Collaborate with the hardware team to develop illumination sub-systems
- Hands-on skills for basic optical design tools such as Zemax or Speos (preferred), LightTools, ASAP, or Code V
- Good understanding of basic optical components: imaging optics, lightguides, and illumination optics
- Experience in Matlab
- Ability to easily learn new methods of optical designing
