At Verdant Specialty Solutions, we’re not just producing specialty chemicals — we’re building operations rooted in safety, precision, and teamwork. We are seeking two Operators to join our production team in Elmendorf, TX, reporting directly to the Production Supervisor.

In this role, you will become proficient in handling and transferring chemicals, operating process control systems, troubleshooting production issues, and producing quality products that meet specifications. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are eager to learn, grow, and build a career in chemical manufacturing.

What you will do:
  • Work a rotating schedule consisting of one month of days (Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts) followed by one month of nights (4 days, 10-hour shifts) with occasional weekends
  • Produce product by making simple blends and reactions according to production schedules and product recipes
  • Learn to safely handle production equipment including reactor vessels, storage tanks, drums, totes, pumps, and hoses
  • Safely operate a forklift in areas with high foot traffic and active operations
  • Monitor process conditions, equipment performance, and control systems
  • Maintain a clean and organized operating area
  • Serve on site teams such as Emergency Response or HSES as required
  • Wear SCBA equipment when needed
  • Participate in plant safety discussions and initiatives
  • Use troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve process-related deviations

RequirementsWhat we are looking for:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Previous production experience preferred but not required
  • Willingness and readiness to learn chemical manufacturing processes
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • General mechanical understanding
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and ability to learn SAP
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple job functions across the site
