The ideal location is on the West Coast or in the Mountain time zone. There may be required travel to offices Post Covid and proof of vaccination will be required at that time to enter office locations.
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead a national team of network and communication professionals responsible for designing and supporting Telecommunications platforms that support business functions across the organization. Team size could vary from 10-20 people based on growth
  • Direct a team of technology professionals to build scalable, resilient, and value-adding technology systems, in addition to strategically working with other IT groups to install, maintain, and manage the network systems as a key component of the overall infrastructure
  • Participate in the execution of the company's Information Technology vision and strategies and implement technology that supports the supports the vision and drives business growth
  • Be comfortable managing a team of 10-12 staff/engineers in multiple locations (this includes hiring, training, staff development, performance management and annual performance appraisals), and be capable of driving the design of highly-scalable, highly-available network solutions to meet business and clinical requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of work experience and SME knowledge of network industry, operations, technology, and equipment
  • 3+ years or more as a Manager or Supervisor in charge of Telecom or voice contact center staff
  • Solid knowledge 4 years or more of the following
    • Regulatory environment and the business impact of proposed and adopted regulatory changes.
    • Leadership presence and adeptness with how to effectively address various levels throughout the organization
    • Expert level Business acumen & problem solving aptitude
  • Ability to travel in the US is required around 25% as needed
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination prior to employment to ensure compliance


Preferred Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in IT or related field
  • Certifications or credentials related to voice and data Telecommunications
  • Strong analytical, communication, management, and relationship skills
  • Ability and desire to thrive in a very fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Ability to juggle and manage multiple priorities and manage the expectations of your stakeholders and peers
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Outstanding organizational, communication, interpersonal, relationship building skills conducive to collaboration; able to work well in a cross-functional, matrix management environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels of the organization including managing through cross-business area or business unit prioritization discussions

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $97,300 to $176,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
