About the Team:

FIS is looking for a Programmer Analyst - DevOps Release Manager to join a new DevOps team.  The Digital One Technical Delivery team builds and delivers a new FIS solution based on microservices architecture for containerized cloud-ready infrastructure.   Our development stream leverages Agile methodologies - our team’s role is to build source code and promote artifacts through to releasable status.  Our focus is pipeline automation of everything – builds, tests, scans, configuration, database and deploys – with metric collection.  We are looking for talented resources to be a part of this dynamic team that will grow with the growth of the solution. 

What you will be doing:

  • You will be part of a DevOps team – providing management oversight of release version and timing in an ecosystem with a high degree of complexity.
  • Focus on process analysis and re-engineering with an understanding of technical problems and solutions relating to current and future business environments.
  • Help shape and build our next gen pipeline deployment infrastructure.
  • Communicate and plan across stakeholders:  QA test teams, Project Managers, Development, Production Ops.
  • Assist with release definition – packaging and versioning multiple components into a single release candidate for a specific client.
  • Analyze processes to continually improve release promotion, identifying points of automation.
  • Function as a Product Owner for a release management tooling, metrics and dashboard tracking.
  • Engage with Development teams to take latest version and promote release through client test environments.
  • Collaborate with DevOps engineers to create/maintain/improve automation that builds and deploys environments for client focused testing and implementation teams.
  • Collaborate with team to package releases as Helm charts
  • Advocate for best practices when it comes to DevOps processes, culture, and 12-factor application design.

What you bring:

  • Proven experience planning and tracking a high degree of complexity with multiple inputs/outputs.
  • Experience with CICD pipeline concepts and promotion to multiple environments.
  • Understanding of DevOps best practices.
  • Understanding of Git-based source repositories.
  • Experience using Cloud services such as Microsoft Azure Service or AWS
  • Knowledge of container-based platforms such as Docker,  Kubernetes, OpenShift, AKS/EKS.
  • Experience with API based applications– test tools and concepts.
  • Resourceful and proactive in gathering information and sharing ideas
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, team, and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributors
