What you will be doing
In this role you will manage deploy release of new technologies as well as design, install, configure, maintain and integrate system testing performance of PC/server operating systems, focusing on storage solutions.

• Design and optimize SAN utilization and performance. You will install, configure and deploy storage arrays and SAN switches
• Planning and implementing firmware/management code updates, ensuring redundancy for all critical components as well as reviewing logs and HW for errors or potential problem alerts and taking corrective action
• Completes backup and recovery, data migration, storage allocation, connectivity and storage reporting requests.
• Creates, removes and expands file systems and volumes.
• Provides SAN switch / director monitoring, configuration and support.
• Works with senior peers to develop change management procedures.
• Creates and maintains documentation. Creates investment proposals and presents concepts during team meetings.
• Provides assistance with system solution design.
• May require rotating 24x7 on-call support responsibility as well as weekend support.
• Some travel is required.
• Other related duties assigned as needed

What you bring:

• 7+ years experience with Systems Administration and Design of highly complex solutions
• Should have strong working experience on SAN and NAS protocols, NFS, CIFS, ISCSI protocols, networking concepts as well as hands-on experience on Pure, HPE, Dell EMC, NetApp and IBM storage products
• Strong understanding on RAID concepts and be able to perform pool/aggregate creations, volume/LUN allocations as well as configure, manage and restore snapshots and failover replications on various storage products
• Hands-on experience on CISCO SAN Switches with strong working knowledge on SAN concepts like zoning, ISL trunks, Fabric management and troubleshooting skills on SAN switches and storage arrays
• Prior experience in troubleshooting enterprise level SAN and storage array performance and connectivity issues
• Should have full understanding on end to end data flow from server to storage
• Strong knowledge on VMWare, Hyper-V, Linux and Windows is an added advantage
