Job Description
Reporting to the Vice President of Strategic Product and Platform Operations, the person in this role will be part of a small but mighty team that supports the Chief Product Officer in driving operational excellence within our Product, Design, and Technology organization as well as strong alignment with our Go to Market organizations. The visibility and exposure of this role is rare, and the candidate will develop a deep strategic understanding of the ServiceNow business and its full product suite. This role is extraordinarily collaborative, providing an opportunity for the right candidate to establish strong relationships with a broad set of leaders within the Product, Engineering and Go to Market organizations.
The person in this role will work closely with product leadership and go-to-market teams to help drive cross-functional productivity, alignment and process optimization.
This position is an exciting opportunity for a highly talented individual who is looking for an interesting portfolio of work that includes critical strategic projects together with detailed operational execution. Ideal candidates will ideally have several years of top-tier management consulting experience together with operating experience within enterprise software or technology.
What you get to do in this role:
- Lead Critical Operating Rhythms such as 3-year Strategic Planning, Quarterly Product Reviews, Family Release Roadmap Reviews and 1 year Budget Planning. This includes creating the structure and calendar for operating rhythms, developing the templates and materials for these forums, leading these meetings and collecting feedback to iteratively improve their effectiveness
- Co-design, build and implement a Product onboarding training program. Establish a highly effective partnership with the technical training team and Product Business Units to roll-out a program that provides new employees with the resources and information they need to be productive
- Lead monthly forums for workflow leaders and strategic operations leaders to drive alignment, awareness and adoption of best practices
- Identify and lead comprehensive cross-product strategy and operational improvement initiatives
- Partner with the sales, marketing, customer success and expert services teams to identify and execute on opportunities for greater alignment, coordination and synergies
- Partner with our communications and HR teams on special projects such as new training initiatives, work-life balance initiatives or identifying policies and processes for future of work arrangements
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you have:
- 15+ years of work experience (or 10+ years post-MBA or equivalent higher-degree), preferably in management consulting, tech strategy/ops function or similar. Preferred candidates will have a combination of consulting and operating experience
- Experience working on large strategic initiatives from framing the problem, conducting research / analysis, building business and operational plans, and driving execution through to success; ability to multitask
- Demonstrated learning agility in order to quickly develop a strong understanding of the ServiceNow product suite
- Strong communicator, able to convey complex ideas in a clear, concise manner both verbally and in writing; comfort in business and technical discussions
- Strong team player who is also an independent thinker; effective at building relationships, collaborating, and influencing others; experience working with senior executives across various geographies and functions
- Strong analytical and financial skills to work on complex business issues with minimum supervision
- Self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and innovative high-growth environment and loves solving challenges
- Software industry domain expertise, and the ability to understand complex technology problems is a plus
