Positions in this function include those who monitor and operate computer and peripheral equipment: review, analyze, and modify programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installing for large-scale computer systems. Evaluate system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility. Provide expertise in software systems programming, operating software applications, consulting on complex projects/existing applications, timely completion of scheduled jobs, and overall operating systems. Also includes overseeing environments' health and facilitation of high severity incidents to improve the state of service availability and continuity. Develop processes and activities that focus on restoring service after an incident occurs. Document all hardware, application, facility, etc. problems and take corrective action as required.
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead team efforts to support various application team on various platforms provided by Technical Operations team
  • Manage team members in the Technical Operations
  • Evangelize Self Support to all applications to effectively remove blockers and dependencies
  • Provide direction and mentor Team members
  • Environment Build and Support
  • CI/CD Pipeline build and automation
  • Day to Day collaboration with Scrum Teams, providing support to our developers and testers
  • Participation in a rotation for operations support, prod and non-prod
  • Participation in software release and deployment activities
  • Writing appropriate levels of documentation
  • Provides leadership to and is accountable for the performance of managers and/or senior level professional staff
  • Impact of work is most often at the operational or local business unit or market level

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of IT experience on Linux Platform
  • 5+ years of IT experience on web-based products
  • 5+ years of experience working on large scale, multiple team projects
  • 5+ years of experience with Agile methodologies
  • 5+ years of experience with CI/CD tools (like Jenkins, Sonar, Fortify, XLDeploy, Maven, Docker, Chef, Terraform)
  • 3+ years of experience with at least 1 scripting language such as (Groovy, Shell, Python or PowerShell)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relational database experience, preferably a recent version of Oracle
  • Chef, Terraform or other infrastructure automation tools
  • Cloud based experience (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure)
  • Github (or Git)
  • Kubernetes experience
  • Configuration as code experience
  • Infrastructure experience
