Job Overview

The NAS Storage Administrator (L3) is responsible for management of the NAS environment in NAM region and supporting Global NAS L3 Operations. A key player in infrastructure projects planning, capacity / change/ performance/ availability management. Involved in solving Major Incidents, escalated by L2 team.

Responsibilities:

• Perform day-to-day NAS storage support as well as take part in Global projects
• Manage existing EMC VNX /Unity / XtremIO and NetApp environment
• Maintain environment updates, prevent security vulnerabilities
• Identify bottlenecks and performance issues and work with various teams to resolve the issues from a proactive manner.
• Work on improving operational maturity to improve stability and deploy proactive wellness checks for Global NAS footprint
• Work with Wintel / Unix / ESX / Citrix SA teams and storage vendors on case escalation and troubleshooting.
• Provide SME level support for performance and outage related incidents
• Work with other teams to roll out NAS related tools.
• Collaborate with product management, application development and hosting teams on project initiatives including performance optimization and capacity management.
• Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision

Qualifications:

Ideal candidate should have 5+ years experience related to below qualifications:

• Good knowledge of scripting
• Strong understanding and knowledge of supporting a complex Network Attached Storage environment
• Strong knowledge of EMC VNX/ Unity/ XtremIO and NetApp products. Installation, configuration and troubleshooting
• Ability to think analytically
• Ownership and ability to cooperate effectively with a team.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of OS platforms (AIX, Windows, Linux)
• Knowledge of virtualization platforms

Education:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
