Role Summary:

The NAZ IT Security - Security Engineer is responsible ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of ABI and its interests is successfully delivered in the face of cyber threats. Reporting to the Director of IT Security North America, this position will execute and deliver against the holistic security strategy. This role will partner with all relevant functional leadership to develop and articulate a shared vision for "best in class" security services that ensure all digital assets are adequately protected. Responsibilities include protecting against and reporting on security risks in a manner that meets or exceeds compliance and regulatory requirements; and that also aligns with the risk posture of the organization using, data driven and quantifiable KPI's.

The Security Engineer will help us enhance ABI's security posture by hardening our systems, focusing on internal and external attack surface to keep us a few steps ahead of emerging threats. The Engineer will implement, scale, and optimize tooling to enable our workforce and services to operate in an efficient and secure manner. The Security Engineer will be the advocate of secure best practices to foster a culture of security, mentor and train less experienced information security staff, and act as a force-multiplier within the organization

Job Responsibilities:

  • Passionate problem solving in support of the entire Security and TechOps programs.
  • Provides hands-on Cybersecurity technical services to teams of technical specialists working on the integration of shared, centralized, and/or hybrid cloud networked systems
  • Provides technical leadership and assistance with the initial set-up, secure deployment, and proper management of systems that support defensive security including malware detection systems, endpoint detection and response, data loss prevention, network anomaly detection, cloud access security brokers, security information event management, deception technology, firewalls, web proxies, and other security systems.
  • Acts as the Zone SME on new and emerging Security Solutions and how they can best benefit the North America Zone or Global Security Org.
  • Offers technical Security services to distributed personnel who are responsible for one or more information security systems; these people include Network Administrators, Systems Administrators, Cloud Engineers Developers, DevOps Engineers and Database Administrators
  • Evaluates and responds to vulnerability reports, security exploit reports, SOC Advisories, and other Security notices issued by information system vendors, government agencies, universities, professional associations, and other organizations, making recommendations to internal management and technical staff to take precautionary steps.
  • Creates executive (Sr. Leadership Team) summaries of the risk to the North America Zone based upon notices, reports, and advisories.
  • Works closely with the Vulnerability Management Team to highlight software packages and related tools to immediately address errors in systems configuration, the need for the update of software with fixes and patches, and other security related changes. Functionally driving remediation and mitigation recommendations with support teams.
  • Acts as a technical resource on information security incident investigations and forensic technical analyses. Serves as the North America Zone Forensic Champion
  • Serves as an active member of the incident response team and participates in security incident response efforts by, among other things, having an in-depth knowledge of ABI's security systems, common security exploits, vulnerabilities, and countermeasures.

Essential Duties:

  • Actively engages in the development and review of ABI's cybersecurity policies, architectures, and standards.
  • Designs, implements, and maintains cybersecurity solutions for ABI systems and networks, compliant with applicable security policies and standards.
  • Works with IT, as well as internal and external business partners, to ensure that security is factored in the evaluation, selection, installation, and configuration process of new systems.
  • Develops security objectives and strategies to better safeguard ABI systems, networks, and data.
  • Performs/coordinates responses to audits, penetration tests, and vulnerability assessments.
  • Provides troubleshooting support for security applications and services.
  • Continuously maintains documentation and shares operational knowledge with peers.
  • Documents processes and procedures to create repeatable results.



Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science and/or Engineering or equivalent required.
  • 5 or more years' experience in Information Technology, preferably in Security Operations, Engineering or Systems Administration
  • 3 or more years' experience in Information Security
  • Experience with Security & Governance, including SaaS applications.
  • One or more of the following Professional Security Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Secure+, OCSP, CCNP, CISA, CISM, CHFI etc. preferred

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:

Experience in business-partner models of identifying, reporting, and resolving cyber security events in collaboration with business leaders, IT, and application owners required. Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining cyber security operations within a large and complex organization required. Knowledge of industry adopted frameworks and methodologies (MITRE ATT&CK, CIS, ISO, NIST, PCI-DSS). Experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods or exposure to Operational Technology systems is a plus.

Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and written communication skills required. Ability to evaluate and weigh business priorities with security risk required in pragmatic and sensible manner. Ability to manage numerous tasks involving competing priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment required. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) required.
