Joffrey’s Coffee and Tea Company have been rapidly expanding our business and now are searching for a full-time Machine Operator to sustain our growth. Our thriving online consumer business is off the charts as we release new roasts, origins and flavors, new packaging formats and brewing techniques for fans to enjoy at home. Starting Pay: $17.00/hour
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform standard machine operations to support the production floor so that daily orders are completed on a timely basis
- Must be able to operate assigned machine in full capacity competently
- Make minor adjustments to program (weight changes, bag length changes, photo eye adjustments, etc.) as needed
- Change all film and tooling as needed
- Continually monitor products and packaging to ensure they are within specifications and of high quality utilizing basic quality control (QC) awareness
- Maintain the work station and machine equipment in a clean orderly fashion and adhere to set safety regulations.
- Tighten air lines and read meters for assigned machine
- Retest equipment and perform machine changeovers as required
- Perform cleaning and sanitation on machines as required
- Complete basic set up and breakdown of machine (Teflon, belt, etc.)
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance, as well as working overtime as needed
About You
- 2 to 3 years of machine operator experience in a food manufacturing environment or factory related type field a plus
- Has basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting capabilities
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance
- Must be able to read and understand English
- Quick learner
- Forklift operator experience a plus
- Salary to be determined based on experience
