Job Description

Noblis MSD is looking to hire a LAN system Administrator with 3 - 5 years of operational networking system experience. This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level System Administrator to work in a full-time capacity providing preventative and advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, and deployment for the facility company, network infrastructure (routers, switches, cabling), systems (servers, workstations, printers, laptops) and office applications (MS office, windows OS, Visio, Project, Adobe and networking iOS desirable SolidWorks, and AutoCAD). The candidate will troubleshoot and diagnose network issues to identify problems and develop solutions to resolve those problems to maintain a high level of up-time, allowing users to maintain operational availability. The candidate will also be responsible for maintaining telecom and Wi-Fi devices for communication.

In this position, the candidate will order, configure and deploy new computing assets to users including standard software builds as well as customized applications required for specific users, configure network connectivity, printers, and wired and wireless networking. The candidate will provide onsite office and remote support tasks for the networking system including analyzing and troubleshoot system functionality and performance, identifying, implementing, and testing required updates and repairs. This includes procurement and management of network equipment, parts, spares, and materials; install, de-install, relocate and re-install hardware; develop and creating, and maintaining system documentation and configuration management including tracking users, licenses, hardware, telecom, and other assets assigned; provide user training on the network system standard load, assist new hires in operations; and provide operating system, and network administration.

Job Duties:

  • Work may require customer support at a federal client located in the San Diego area
  • Validate all users have properly functioning hardware and software
  • Assignment of tasking through a trouble ticket system must be flexible to accommodate new requests or changes in prioritization
  • Provide support for all standard applications including Microsoft Office Suite, Modern Web Browsers, Adobe Acrobat and Creative Suite, and other business applications
  • Provide support for iOS and Android mobile devices
  • Install and configure computer hardware for deployment to employees
  • Install, configure, and upgrade applications running on company hardware
  • Configure network protocols on company-owned computers and printers



The candidate must be able to:

  • Be responsive to phone calls and email messages for internal and external customers
  • Troubleshoot incidents and requests received in a ticketing system
  • Prevent, identify, troubleshoot and resolve interface issues between commercial contractor networks and Government networks
  • Prioritize work effectively and efficiently to users (customers) within the IT team environment
  • Communicate effectively with a diverse internal and external customer population, from executives to field personnel, and determine their support needs
  • Troubleshoot remote connectivity
  • Communicate technical solutions in a user-friendly, professional, and courteous manner.
  • Maintain a Secret security clearance



Required Skills

This individual must be a self-starter and able to manage all customer support issues at a site location serving up to 100 onsite staff.

Required Skills:

  • Must have a 4-year degree in a technical related field
  • Candidates must meet DoD 8570 compliance and have a current IA certification (CompTIA Security+ or Cisco Security) have certification or recent certified training in Windows 10 or 11 and Windows Server 16 (configuring Active Directory and Advanced Network Infrastructure)
  • Previous experience with government or Navy networks is a plus, including support for PKI & ECA certificates, as well as unique environments/Applications such as GCC High, Flank Speed, and CMPro
