Summary:

The Disaster Response group of Aptim is seeking an Invoicing Specialist to join an existing Program team in Louisiana to support Hurricane Ida Disaster response efforts. The Invoicing Specialist will provide administrative quality control support and handle the orderly processing of Purchase Orders related to Hurricane Ida disaster assistance. This position will initially be working out of our Prairieville, Louisiana or Baton Rouge, Louisiana office location with the possibility of remote work after initial training and a contribution evaluation. This is a Temporary Position.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities Include:

• Process high volume of administrative documents utilizing specialized software.
• Review Invoices.
• Document Changes with audits of Purchase Orders (PO) and Invoices.
• Provide support to team members.
• Follows appropriate guidance provided by managers, and standard operating procedures.
• Assists disaster recovery team with processes, policies, and procedures.

Basic Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Purchase Orders
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access and PowerPoint
• Effective oral, listening, and written communication skills
• Strong detail oriented, ability to work independently and effective interpersonal skills are required.
• Strong teamwork skills
• Ability to problem solve and patiently handle difficult situations
• Able to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment
• Able to work long hours to meet Client driven deadlines
• Must be able to adapt and adjust to ever changing environment
• Must be able to learn and understand complex program policies and procedures
• Able to utilize complex program database systems
• Must understand Production

Desired/Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with basic accounting principles preferred
• Experience with FEMA programs, CDBG/HUD, and/or other Disaster Recovery programs is strongly desired.

Other Details:

• Additional preference will be given to Louisiana residents who meet the requirements of this position.
• Ability to start work at assigned work location in Louisiana within 24-48 hours
• Ability to work 10-12 hours per day, 6-7 days per week
• Commitment to a minimum 30-day assignment
