This requisition is for one position that can be located at any of the sites identified in the Location section of the posting. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Global Services (BGS) business organization.This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate may be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.Position Responsibilities

  • Leads Quality reviews of complex proposals, contracts, regulatory, program and customer requirements ensuring early quality involvement in program development.
  • Develops Quality budge and cost estimates.
  • Represents the Company on industry working groups to develop industry standards for quality related initiatives.
  • Advises senior leadership on development of business strategies that influence directives and policies.
  • Advises multi-functional leaders and groups on development of processes, procedures, and metrics to assure program, contract, customer, regulatory requirements, international standards and working agreements are successfully deployed.
  • Consults in high-level reviews of corrective actions at the enterprise and customer level to assure that trends or systemic issues are identified and advises on the development and implementation of preventive or corrective actions.
  • Conducts research, compiles and analyzes performance data and process statistics to achieve continual process improvements.
  • Develops new applications for statistical analysis to maintain and improve process capability.
  • Conducts business unit risk analysis to determine key audit and improvement areas.
  • Develops and manages business unit preventive and corrective action plans.
  • Trains and advises senior management on preparation and sustainment of corrective and improvement plans.
  • Performs benchmarking of enterprise and industry best practices.
  • Works under consultative direction.

Additional Job Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of experienced quality specialists in support of maintaining a compliant Quality Management System across the BGS organization with a focus on continual improvement activities.
  • Lead and facilitate Boeing Problem Solving Model, root cause analysis, corrective action plan and Value Stream Mapping workshops.
  • Train other Quality professionals in the Boeing Problem Solving Model, Value Stream Mapping and other proven root cause corrective action techniques.
  • Facilitate and assist the development of corrective action plans as the result from internal or external audit findings against a multitude of quality standards to include but not limited to AS9100, AS9120, AS9110, FAA / MAR-145, ISO9001.
  • Facilitate and assist the development of corrective action plans as the result of major DCMA corrective actions.
  • Provide training and development for the BGS organization in regards to the Boeing Problem Solving Model and other improvement techniques.
  • Support BGS continual improvement program management, administration, and system maintenance.
  • Develop and maintain common preventive and corrective actions processes, checklists, and metrics for BGS.
  • Ensure all aspects of the Boeing Quality Management Systems focusing on applicable standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
  • Provide guidance to BGS Safety & Quality leadership to ensure compliance to QMS and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and facilitate BGS level management reviews and the BGS Continual Improvement Community of Practice.
  • Support and further develop the BGS QMS maturity assessment, improvement plans, and overall QMS health scorecard.
  • Support the maturation of the BGS level Customer Satisfaction, Corrective Action and KPI process.

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 10+ years of experience as a continual improvement expert
  • 10+ years of Quality Management System experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's in Business Administration
  • ASQ Certified CMQ/OE
  • Certified in Continual Improvement techniques
