Director of Technology leads/supervises a geographically separated team that is required to work across 14 markets in 300+ locations. Leads, infrastructure desktop support, Warehouse Team, Acquisition Project Coordinators, and Asset Management (Software/Hardware) inventory teams supporting WellMed Medical Management. Provides leadership to and is accountable for the performance and direction through multiple layers of management. Team members are located throughout Texas, Florida, and New Mexico. Work most often affects a large business unit, or multiple markets/sites. Must possess capability to work on full business technology stack of a growing organization. Serve as an escalation point for complex issues, problems and solutions while holding teams and self, responsible for maintaining the highest possible performance standards and meeting agreed upon commitments under all circumstances. As director, you must take responsibility for outcomes of actions and decisions, drive team to identify and analyze options based on desired outcomes and pushes for decisions and understands how to produce documents iteratively. Oversees asset management and acquisitions request. Draws correlations from non-standard data sets and uses broader inferences to drive business value. Identifies new sources of data or new methods of data collection to inform and evaluate solutions and performance. Develops best practices based on evidence from industry. Collaborate with market Executive leadership, regarding upcoming relocations, acquisitions, projects and technical refreshes. Negotiating with business departments to determine hardware and software solutions most cost effective and efficient for the organization. Providing seamless day-to-day operations and idealistic customer service. Consistently identifies gaps in knowledge documents and procedures and recommends opportunities for improvement. Pro-actively reviews metrics and system performance trends to identify gaps and potential issues. Writes knowledge documents to guide others in supporting technologies. Seeks to understand how customers are interacting with technology and pro-actively recommends opportunities to improve support. Serves as expert resource to others on new or emerging technologies. Analyzes the budget reports and interprets data including identification of both favorable and unfavorable variances. Collaborates with team to understand where challenges are, Takes accountability and drives actions that resolve problem. Has expert knowledge of the ITIL/ITSM processes, including Incident Management and, ITSM Problem Management. Pro-actively seeks out the right people internal and external of team to further understanding and acquire organizational needs. Collaborates with other teams regarding security standards, regulations, and vulnerabilities. Pro-actively identifies and addresses security gaps in desktop solution design and deliver
Positions in this function provide technical support to the enterprise. This function includes employees working on incident management response and restoration; determination of issue priority, provisioning, and service request fulfillment; installations, upgrades, and releases/deployments; and problem management analysis and resolution. It also includes data center construction, operations, and maintenance employees.

Required Qualifications:

  • BS Information Technology/Computer Science or any related IT field
  • 8+ years relevant work experience
  • 5+ years supervisory/management experience
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
  • IT Service Management (ITSM)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
  • Knowledge with IT Service Management (ITSM)
  • Excellent management presence with ability to influence local and remote personnel at many levels (including executive) across the business
  • Excellent communicator with demonstrated collaboration, analytical, & problem-solving skills to achieve business goals, while balancing security and technology objectives
  • Highest ethical standards and sense of propriety and a strong service orientation and mindset is a must
  • Ability to lead a remote team with nation-wide resources
