Job Description
The Director of Technology Alliances - Access Control will be responsible but not limited to the following:
Supervise and manage the Access Control Technology Alliances team for successful performance of job duties.
Create, maintain, and execute business plans that accelerate growth within our Technology Alliances (Salto, Assa Abloy, and Allegion) and our Federal Government vertical.
Create, nurture and respond to sales opportunities and close sales orders within accounts assigned by the Vice President Sales, Access Control, North America.
Create, manage, and maintain sales pipelines with assigned accounts.
Promote and sell Access Control products and services through direct customer contact within the assigned geographic territory and accounts.
Create, maintain, and execute business plans for assigned accounts and strategic alliances.
Work with Global Sales Team members to execute and complete business plans for assigned accounts.
Develop and maintain relationships at the Executive level with all assigned accounts.
Work to identify new markets, partnering opportunities with accounts, new business plans and objectives
Oversee and manage the sale of Motorola access control products and services within the assigned territory.
Prepare proposals and quotes for prospective customers and provide them with published prices, and information regarding terms of sales and delivery dates. Discounts beyond the published price pages must be proposed and approved by the Vice President Sales, Access Control. Work on key deals to help define and oversee how our products are deployed.
Provide product and sales training to assigned accounts to help them understand our products including how and when they should be used according to their specific application.
Identify key access control market influencers, establish contact with them, and demonstrate to them the superiority and utility of our products.
Participate in the development of training materials.
Feedback end user customer requirements to engineering and operations departments to help implement product improvements and new product releases.
Develop standardized Technology Alliance partnership presentations and sales tools for use by RSD/RSMs outlining Motorola access controls platforms value propositions within partner’s enterprise.
Create a positive work environment and utilize team building skills with other team members and direct reports.

Bachelors Degree with 6+ years of sales/public safety experience OR 10+ years of sales/public safety experience
1+ years of leadership experience
Seeking 6+ years experience in selling access control solutions
Present Motorola’s access control portfolio consisting of ACM and OpenPath highlighting our key differentiators to targeted customers throughout the assigned territory.
Prospecting new business by developing relationships with key decision-makers, understand and respond to customer needs, track and report on account activity
Support Motorola’s access control sales activities in the assigned territory by creating, nurturing, and responding to sales opportunities for products and services
Finding and developing new markets and determining the net need with end-users through channel partners
Support the territory leaders in establishing quarterly and annual sales objectives for the assigned territory
Track sales activities using lead and project tracking software databases
Collaborate with colleagues including Business Development Managers, Inside Sales, Sales Engineering and other Motorola sales business units to support new and existing customers. Identify, target and onboard strategic system integrators in a given territory.
Make joint calls with integration partners to add value, further develop relationships, uncover new opportunities, and help increase revenue for partners.
Work closely with technology partners throughout territory to uncover new opportunities.
Location & Travel Requirements:
Candidates must be based in the United States. Approximately 50-75% of regional travel is required. Majority of travel within the territory will be by air, some international travel can be expected for tradeshows and sales conferences.
Basic Requirements
Bachelors Degree with 6+ years of sales/public safety experience OR 10+ years of sales/public safety experience
