Summary of Major Responsibilities

The Cybersecurity Operations Analyst supports the implementation and administration of information security policies, procedures, and technologies to ensure the protection of networks, systems, applications, and data. This role will assist with the identification and mitigation of security-related risks and other risks associated with business continuity planning, the security operations center (SOC), and disaster recovery.

The Cybersecurity Operations Analyst will also be involved with day-to-day security operations; including, but not limited to, access audits, role validation, response to security events, and the recommendation of corrective action. This role will help ensure compliance with all security policies, standards, and applicable regulations and laws. The Cybersecurity Operations Analyst will ensure that information security systems, policies, and procedures are properly maintained, reviewed, and monitored. This role will be responsible for managing external vendors supporting security operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, maintain, and monitor the compliance of policies, procedures, and associated plans.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of centralized user access control administration to internal software applications.
  • Preserve all records which indicate changes made to access control lists in order to facilitate; including, but not limited to, audits and other investigations.
  • Conduct and coordinate vulnerability assessments and penetration tests.
  • Develop and maintain written security controls and compliance; define remediation strategies.

  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds for approximately 20% of a typical working day.
  • Ability to work seated for approximately 80% of a typical working day. Ability to work standing for approximately 20% of a typical working day.
  • Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.
  • Ability to travel 5% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.



Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or other field related to the essential duties of the position; or High School Degree/General Education Degree and 4 years of relevant experience as outlined in the essential duties in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
  • 3+ years of experience complying with related industry regulations and preparing responses to information security audits and questionnaires.
  • 3+ years of experience performing IT-related tasks to include risk assessments, IT audits, security planning, systems accreditation, and policy development.
  • Demonstrated strong knowledge of common information security management frameworks to include the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the International Organization for Standards (ISO) 27000).
  • Demonstrated strong knowledge of domain structures, user authentication, data encryption, and end-user security best practices.
  • Demonstrated strong understanding of related information technology to include SIEM, firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS, and DLP and physical security assets.
  • Demonstrated solid understanding of networking, desktop technology, and proven methods to provide innovative solutions to customers.
  • Demonstrated strong customer focus with a demonstrated track record of driving delivery and operational performance improvements across an organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion of or in-progress coursework toward cybersecurity-related certifications.
