JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) is seeking a Configuration Manager to provide overall CM support for the infrastructure and environment to the product development team. The CM has to ensure that the CM environment facilities product review, change, and defects tracking activities. This role includes writing the CM plan and reporting progress based on change requests, understanding configurations management principles, and preferably having experience or training in the use of CM tools. This role is responsible for the execution of the process which includes operating the defined and agreed process, ensuring it interfaces with all other relevant processes, reviewing the effectiveness and efficiency of the process, performing process audits, and managing the process improvement cycle.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Configuration Manager, will be responsible for the defined and agreed Change Management process to ensure it interfaces with all other relevant processes, reviewing the effectiveness and efficiency of the process, and managing the process improvement cycle. You will also, provide on-site support to the government customer to include insightful solutions and assist with determining and implementing both, technical and business goals in consultation with top management, and making detailed plans for the accomplishment of these goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a principal advisor to the Government on all matters, technical and otherwise, involving the security of an Information System (IS)
  • Own, manage, and regulate the daily execution of the Information Technology Change Management Process including managing and facilitating Technical Review Board and Configuration Control Board
  • Plan, execute, control, measure, monitor and report on all configuration management activities impacting business applications and infrastructure systems
  • Manage and execute the software build and release process
  • Manage and maintain the Information Technology Division Application Lifecycle Management tools (Service Now CMDB, JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint)
  • Document and maintain the Information Technology Division technical baseline
  • Oversee the Information Technology Division Change Request process
  • Provide direction across the government and contract for proper resolution of change request issues and foster a common understanding of the Change Management processes scope, applicability, and key sub-processes
  • Ensure that the Information Technology Division configuration management system supports Agile/SCRUM development processes
  • Identify and maintain the original configuration of requirements documentation, design documentation, software, and related documentation
  • Track all problems and changes in product documents and software and reports changes and current configuration
  • Collaborate with developers on materials and updates for applications and systems
  • Provide subject matter expertise in other meetings and forums, including customer technical meetings


REQUIRED:

Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Business, Information Technology, or Information Management, or five (5) years of comparable work experience.

  • CM with 5+ years of verifiable experience
  • Analytical and effectively able to troubleshoot and prioritize needs, requirements and other issues.
  • Active TS Security Clearance


DESIRED:

  • Five or more years of experience as a Configuration Manager preferably within the Intelligence Community as well as a security clearance Status of Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) with a CI polygraph test.
  • SofSkills: Excellent Communication skills in both written and oral communications.
  • SofSkills: Proven Teamwork, leadership and conflict management, and critical thinking skills.
  • MS Project: 5+ years of complex project scheduling in MS Project
  • MS Word: 10+ years


Qualifications

Target salary range: $125,001 - $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
