GoodRx is seeking a Clinical Reviews Manager to join our Editorial team, ideally with operational and healthcare administrative experience. This position will manage onboarding as well as routine assignments and communications with healthcare providers on our Clinical Review Board. The CRB is set up to provide medical reviews for our rapidly expanding Editorial and Video teams. The Clinical Reviews Manager is essential to ensuring our team has medically and scientifically accurate content that is produced in a timely manner and at scale. This position reports directly to our Senior Medical Editor and will work closely with her, as well as Operations, Copy Desk, Production and other Editors to ensure that copy flows smoothly throughout the medical review process.
Responsibilities:
- Assign, manage and collect hundreds of article, video and tool medical reviews each month, primarily conducted by physicians and pharmacists
- Work closely with Medical Editors to help onboard new contract clinical reviewers
- Ensure that copy and video meets criteria designated by the clinical reviewer
- Develop a tracking system to identify and manage all of the ongoing and upcoming pieces of content that require a medical review, as well as the time it takes to move through that process
- Provide monthly metrics reporting to management on the time average required for medical review, the number of pieces undergoing medical review and the distribution of medical reviews between internal and external reviewers
- Innovate in tandem with our Senior Medical Editor to routinely streamline and improve medical review processes
- Work closely with the Copy Desk and Production to help hit monthly publishing targets–and avoid a crunch toward the end of each month
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in a publishing or healthcare provider environment in operational or administrative positions with progressive responsibilities
- A self-starter and a problem solver, who can identify issues and help to come up with optimal solutions in a cooperative manner
- Top-notch organizational skills and follow-through across the board
- Clear and transparent communicator, verbally and in writing
- Able to easily address and effectively incorporate constructive feedback from peers and management
- Comfort working closely with busy physicians and pharmacists–and self-assured in communicating with them to negotiate optimal outcomes without ruffling feathers
- Ease and familiarity with physician research resources, such as UpToDate, as well as scientific journals is a huge advantage
- Experience with workflow management software such as Asana, as well as facility with spreadsheet analytics is also a big plus
