Why This Role Is Valuable
The AVP, Business Strategist is a strategic business role reporting to the Chief of Staff and supporting the Leadership team of Revantage. The AVP, Business Strategist will conduct analysis, make recommendations, manage projects and coordinate initiatives to support the high-impact strategic priorities for Blackstone portfolio companies and Revantage.
This position is based out of Revantage's headquarters in Chicago, IL.
How You Add Value
Strategy and Business Planning
- Partner with the Senior Leadership Team to facilitate strategic planning processes and develop and manage plans to ensure successful execution of strategy
- Demonstrate discretion and professionalism when working with leadership on sensitive business and organizational issues, manage ambiguity and propose workable solutions to challenging problems
- Work with the Senior Leadership Team to develop actionable business plans, ensure communication to departments and establish appropriate tracking and reporting mechanisms
- Collaborate with Revantage leadership team and Business Partners to manage and execute various strategic initiatives
- Assist with assessments of business and departments, gather feedback on Revantage and business partner needs, and refine strategy accordingly
- Demonstrate discretion and professionalism when working with leadership team on sensitive business and organizational issues, manage ambiguity and propose workable solutions to challenging problems
Change Management
- Implement change management processes and tools to help facilitate business transformations and process improvements
- Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to communicate strategy, including internal and external communications
- Identify opportunities to create internal and external collaboration and synergies
Project Management
- Support project delivery having moderate to high levels of complexity by providing strategic direction to project teams, peers, and stakeholders to drive results
- Drive effective project management discipline and support our strategic project initiatives throughout the lifecycle of ideation, to business case development, execution and operationalizing
- Identify trends, risks and opportunities that could hinder or accelerate the impact or execution of initiatives and recommend solutions to improve performance that could benefit the project, program or our overall strategic portfolio
Operations
- Partner with Revantage leadership team to develop presentation materials for Board, Portfolio Company and Town Hall meetings
- Execute Ad-hoc projects and maximize the effectiveness of the Revantage leadership team by helping them balance priorities, communicate effectively, participate in the relevant meetings and connect with business partners and employees
People Development and Culture
- Collaborate with the People & Culture team on hiring initiatives, employee engagement initiatives, and communication - continue to make Revantage a great place to work
What You Bring To The Role Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering, finance, or technology
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Management Consulting, Strategy/Business Transformation, or Project & Process improvement
- Proven experience and success leading and managing high-priority and high-visibility projects and initiatives
- Experience designing, socializing, and obtaining senior executive approval for corporate governance and executive presentations
- Demonstrated success working effectively with people at all levels of an organization, including C-suite
- Ability to think creatively and outside the box to simplify complex metrics and information into easy to understand concepts, presentations, and updates for senior management
- Expert verbal and written communication skills and experience in leading communications strategy
- Demonstrated aptitude for data analytics and process improvement with exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
- Proven record of leadership
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and in a team environment Outstanding record of professional and academic achievement
- Expert level proficiency in Microsoft office, collaboration tools, and related business intelligence tools
