What this job involves: This position manages critical building operations through Building Automation Systems, focusing on monitoring mechanical infrastructure, fire and life safety alarms while providing 24/7 support for business continuity. The role combines technical expertise with customer service skills to track incidents, coordinate with field operations, manage work orders, and ensure proper facility system operation through virtual monitoring and proactive maintenance coordination.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Managing critical alarms related to building mechanical infrastructure, fire, and life safety systems through Building Automation Systems

• Tracking, escalating, and communicating incidents with potential for business disruption through established channels and protocols

• Assisting field operations with equipment troubleshooting using building automation system information, trend data analysis, and system overrides

• Coordinating building shutdown activities through building automation systems and providing stakeholder notifications

• Validating vendor activity approvals prior to work commencement and ensuring compliance with established protocols

• Performing proactive virtual tours of all facility systems to verify proper operation and identify potential issues

• Receiving, generating, and processing work orders in designated systems while dispatching technicians and providing follow-up

• Managing, maintaining, and issuing required shift reports under client-defined critical deadlines

• Remaining calm and providing effective customer service during stressful or emergency situations

Desired experience and technical skills:

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent

• Strong knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Word and Excel

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to consistently develop accurate periodic reports under critical deadlines • Strong time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills with attention to detail

• Self-starter ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume environment

• Availability to work varied shifts including nights and weekends

• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with customer focus

• Ability to remain calm during stressful or emergency situations

Preferred:

• Degree or education in technology-related field from accredited university or college

• Experience with Building Automation Systems and their functionality

• Ability to analyze operation of various systems and determine causes of problems/malfunctions

• Understanding of technology, software applications, and computer systems

• Background in facilities management or building operations

• Experience with work order management systems and dispatch coordination

Location: On-site

Work Shift/Schedule: 10 Hour Days/ Morning Shift

Pay: $58,600 - $85,000

The salary listed is an estimate and not guaranteed. A salary offer will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data
