We are looking for a Trade Settlement Specialist to help our Operations team make sure our trades match and settle correctly. Our trade flows are complex and happen very quickly—you’ll be a key part of the team responsible for making sure these trades are settled as intended.
You’ll sit at the hub of our trading activity each day, helping to build and maintain operational relationships with brokers, counterparties and clients. You’ll leverage these connections, working closely with external partners, as well as our other offices, to confirm that all parties agree on the terms of a trade, and that securities and cash move promptly to their correct locations. When issues arise, you’ll be responsible for resolving them immediately.
Our work moves fast, and we are looking for someone who remains calm under pressure and adapts quickly, learning from day one. Calibrating our post-trade processes to efficiently handle the high volumes we trade each day is an essential part of the firm's success, and your daily work will ensure our trading operations remain at the highest standard.
About You- 3+ years of financial industry experience
- Reliable and flexible team player with a positive demeanour
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Can easily navigate Excel, and loves to find faster ways to process data
- Enjoys working with large data sets to find patterns and identify irregularities
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, critical thinker who can multitask in a fast-moving, highly intellectual environment
- Humble attitude about what is known or unknown; not afraid to ask questions
- An understanding of global securities settlement practices is preferred
- Fluency in English is required
