In This Role:   
  • You will be managing teams, including direct Manager and supervisor reports.

  • You will oversee all areas of a Veterinary Diagnostic Lab. 

  • You will create and manage budgets.

  • You will use your proven ability to manage and deliver key operating metrics to successfully drive quality, delivery of productivity results, financial success and safety across the lab.

  • You will be a business leader and a people leader for the lab and the line of business. 

  • You will bring your passion and enthusiasm for teamwork, success, innovation, and excellence to your role, every day. 

What You Will Need to Succeed: 
  • You will have 5+ years experience overseeing or managing a large, fast-paced, high-volume work environment across multiple shifts.

  • While not required, having a bachelor’s degree in a science or related (business) field is preferred.

  • You have proven successful track record of managing a large team with a focus on employee performance, empowerment, and development skills.

  • You’re an experienced change agent, preferably with Lean experience, and you have applied/implemented this experience in a Lean manufacturing/operations environment

  • You have experience with multi-tiered leadership.

  • You can adapt departmental plans and priorities to address resource and the operational challenges of a global company.

  • You have developed and/or implemented strategies in place for keeping frontline employees engaged.

  • You excel at organizing, prioritizing and directing work activities.

  • You have a track record of successful project management skills and abilities.

  • You have strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to effectively present information to various audiences including senior management and those who report to you.

  • You are proficient in the use of Excel, Word, Tableau, and other PC applications and are comfortable with high computer use. 

  • This is a laboratory, so there is potential exposure to biohazards, agents known to cause zoonotic diseases, and hazardous chemicals. 

What You Can Expect From Us: 
  • Salary up to $160,000 / year depending on experience
