We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Our Home - Kankakee. As an Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing our company's operations. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring the smooth functioning of various departments within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations and ensure that departments are running efficiently and effectively.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to maximize productivity and safety.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, reduce costs, and improve overall operational performance.
- Responsible for management of all production supervision and working closely with managers and key leaders in each area of the facility
- Take the lead on daily operations of the facility
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement strategies to achieve operational targets.
- Lead and manage a team of employees, providing guidance, support, and motivation to drive performance and productivity.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and standards for quality, safety, and operational excellence.
- Develop and manage operational budgets, controlling costs and maximizing profitability.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.
- Stay updated with industry trends and implement best practices to optimize operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in production management, preferably in a similar industry.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex data.
- Sound knowledge of operational principles and best practices.
- Proficient in using software and tools to monitor and manage operations.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Work Environment/Physical Demand
- Required to use hands to handle, or feel; reach, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, taste, and smell.
- Occasionally lift/move 50 lbs.
- Specific vision includes the following: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes/airborne particles; risk of electrical shock and vibration
- Forklift Operation required.
