We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Our Home - Kankakee. As an Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing our company's operations. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring the smooth functioning of various departments within the organization.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations and ensure that departments are running efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to maximize productivity and safety.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, reduce costs, and improve overall operational performance.
  • Responsible for management of all production supervision and working closely with managers and key leaders in each area of the facility
  • Take the lead on daily operations of the facility
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement strategies to achieve operational targets.
  • Lead and manage a team of employees, providing guidance, support, and motivation to drive performance and productivity.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and standards for quality, safety, and operational excellence.
  • Develop and manage operational budgets, controlling costs and maximizing profitability.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and implement best practices to optimize operations.

Requirements
  • Proven experience in production management, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex data.
  • Sound knowledge of operational principles and best practices.
  • Proficient in using software and tools to monitor and manage operations.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Work Environment/Physical Demand

  • Required to use hands to handle, or feel; reach, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, taste, and smell.
  • Occasionally lift/move 50 lbs.
  • Specific vision includes the following: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes/airborne particles; risk of electrical shock and vibration
  • Forklift Operation required.
  • All employees are responsible for immediately reporting any food safety, food quality, safety issues, or plant security issues to management for appropriate action.
  • All employees are responsible for upholding the principles of SQF Food Safety Code
