The Operations Manager at PDG is a pivotal role that ensures seamless coordination between internal teams and the service delivery team, including subcontractors providing IT solutions to federal agencies and private sector companies. This position focuses on optimizing workflows, ensuring financial accuracy, and enhancing operational efficiency to support PDG’s talent management, workforce optimization, and IT service delivery solutions. Utilizing tools like Asana and Harvest, the Operations Manager tracks projects and financial performance to drive profitability and maintain quality standards.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Operational Oversight
  • Process Optimization:
  • Streamline workflows across PDG’s talent management offerings and IT service delivery teams.
  • Align efforts with project and client objectives by coordinating closely with subcontractors and internal teams.
  • Resource Allocation:
  • Allocate resources efficiently for recruitment projects, talent optimization workshops, and IT solutions.
  • Ensure timely execution of federal and private sector contracts in collaboration with the service delivery team.
  • Financial Oversight and Coordination
  • Billing and Receivables:
  • Manage receivables and ensure accurate, timely client billing.
  • Resolve discrepancies promptly, maintaining detailed documentation.
  • Bookkeeping Coordination:
  • Collaborate with the bookkeeper to track financial transactions, close monthly books, and prepare reports.
  • Ensure financial data accuracy with a focus on tracking net profit.
  • Profitability Analysis:
  • Analyze project revenue, expenses, and profit margins to provide actionable insights to leadership.
  • Strategic Planning and Execution
  • Goal Alignment:

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a human capital management firm with federal contracting (GovCon) operations.
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional teams and subcontractors.
  • Strong financial acumen, including managing receivables, tracking profitability, and bookkeeping coordination.
  • Proficiency in Asana (project management) and Harvest (time tracking and expense management).
  • Familiarity with federal regulations and compliance for contracts and IT service delivery.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in talent management and IT service delivery for federal and private sector organizations.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) or operations management.
  • Familiarity with workforce optimization and organizational restructuring.
