Not every Operations Manager role gives you real ownership of the entire operation. This one does. As an Operations Manager within a high-tech warehouse environment in Echt, Limburg you are responsible for a large-scale and complex operation with 130+ FTE.

You will be working at a new site with an international Tech customer, where strategy, leadership and performance come together.

Operating at MT level, you manage multiple large high-tech customers and steer on KPIs such as productivity, quality and cost. With a strong focus on continuous improvement and stakeholder management, you ensure the operation keeps evolving in a fast-paced, international environment.

Job Description

 

As an Operations Manager, you are end-to-end responsible for the performance of the entire operation. You combine strategic oversight with daily steering, ensuring that people, processes and performance are aligned.

  • Full operational responsibility for multiple high-tech customers within the warehouse environment.
  • Driving performance on KPIs such as productivity, quality, service and cost (TCO);
  • Leading and developing 3 Warehouse Managers and their teams ;
  • Initiating and delivering cost optimization and efficiency improvement projects, across the operation.
  • Managing stakeholder relationships (internal, customer and cross-functional) and ensuring strong collaboration across departments.

You report directly to the Business Director and are part of the local Management Team (MT), contributing to strategic decision-making and long-term site development. You will be working with a team of experienced professionals and specialists. Therefore, a people-driven and empowering leadership style is essential in this environment.

Qualifications

 

We’re looking for an experienced Operations Manager who combines strategic leadership with strong stakeholder management in a complex, high-paced environment.

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering or similar;
  • 5–7 years of experience in a (contract) logistics environment;
  • Proven leadership experience in managing managers within an operation;
  • Solid knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); experience with SAP is preferred;
  • Strong analytical and financial skills (budgeting, forecasting, cost control);
  • Experience with continuous improvement and change management;
  • Fluent in English.

You are able to switch seamlessly between strategic and operational topics, excel in stakeholder management and thrive in a dynamic, international environment.
