Who are we, and what do we do?

At Corteva Agriscience, you will help us grow what’s next. No matter your role, you will be part of a team that is building the future of agriculture – leading breakthroughs in the innovation and application of science and technology that will better the lives of people all over the world and fuel the progress of humankind.

Corteva is building an AI-native Software Engineering organization with strong operating discipline at its core. The Operations Lead for Software Engineering plays a critical role in making that system run — driving clarity, alignment, and execution across leadership priorities.

This role sits at the center of the Software Engineering organization, partnering closely with engineering, product, finance, HR, and enterprise stakeholders to establish strong operating rhythms, enable data-driven decision making, and ensure effective communication at all levels. You bring structure to complexity — turning fragmented inputs into clear priorities, actionable insights, and repeatable processes that scale.

You own the operational backbone of the organization: governance, metrics, financial coordination, and cross-functional alignment. Your impact is measured by how effectively the organization executes, how clearly it communicates, and how well leadership can make informed decisions.

What You’ll Do:

  • Drive organizational clarity through communications and alignment - develop and deliver leadership and employee communications that clarify priorities, expectations, and progress. Partner with leaders to shape messaging and ensure consistency across audiences. Coordinate communication strategies and ensure timely, aligned information flow across teams.

  • Establish and run the operating rhythm - design and lead recurring operational cadences, including leadership forums, monthly operations reviews, and cross-functional touchpoints. Ensure meetings are structured, outcomes-driven, and aligned with broader organizational priorities. Support enterprise workshops and cross-team planning efforts.

  • Lead financial coordination and planning support - partner with finance and business leaders to contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes. Track and synthesize cost inputs, provide ad hoc analysis to support decision making, and help ensure spend aligns to priorities. Review and guide program-related financial materials and approvals.

  • Define and operationalize engineering performance metrics - establish a measurement framework across Software Engineering, including delivery effectiveness, productivity, quality, and organizational health. Drive adoption of core engineering metrics (flow, throughput, cycle time, reliability, engagement) and embed them into leadership discussions and daily operations.

  • Deliver insights through reporting and analysis - synthesize survey data, operational metrics, and performance indicators into clear insights for leadership. Highlight trends, risks, and opportunities to inform decisions and continuous improvement.

  • Enable execution through tools and coordination - build and maintain operational artifacts such as trackers, intake processes, and estimation models. Create dashboards and reporting frameworks that provide visibility into execution and performance. Drive cross-functional coordination by connecting teams, resolving dependencies, and maintaining momentum.

  • Support enterprise data needs and cross-functional requests - serve as a key point of contact for enterprise requests requiring Software Engineering inputs. Coordinate data collection, validation, and delivery across stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely responses.

What Skills You Need:

A blend of operational leadership, analytical rigor, and cross-functional influence. Strong candidates demonstrate capability across all areas; exceptional candidates deeply excel in multiple.

  • Operational Leadership & Governance - proven ability to establish and run operating cadences, governance structures, and decision-making frameworks that enable execution at scale.

  • Data & Performance Management - experience defining metrics, building dashboards, and translating data into actionable insights. Strong understanding of engineering performance indicators and organizational health metrics.

  • Financial & Business Acumen - comfort working with financial planning, budgeting, and cost tracking. Ability to connect operational decisions to financial outcomes and business priorities.

  • Communication & Influence - exceptional ability to communicate clearly with both executive leadership and broad employee audiences. Skilled at shaping messaging and driving alignment across diverse stakeholders.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership - strong collaboration skills with the ability to coordinate across engineering, product, finance, and enterprise teams. Adept at navigating ambiguity and aligning competing priorities.
