Job Description

The Role

At Checkout.com, we’re building the future of online payments — and our Risk Operations team plays a key role in protecting our platform and ensuring smooth transactions for merchants. As a Risk Operations Graduate in our 12-month program, you'll help manage merchant risk, develop expertise in credit and fraud assessment, and learn how to apply scheme rules and regulatory requirements to real-world cases. You’ll benefit from tailored training, mentorship, networking events, and professional development sessions — all designed to support your growth and leadership potential.

As part of Checkout.com’s Graduate Program you’ll work alongside experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience and a comprehensive introduction to digital payments and technology. The program offers an extensive learning experience through technical training, professional development workshops, and direct access to industry experts. You'll be part of a global Early Careers, Graduate community, with regular networking events, mentoring opportunities, and social activities designed to build connections and accelerate your growth and leadership potential. By the end of the scheme, you’ll be equipped with the knowledge, experience, and confidence to make a lasting impact at Checkout.com and beyond.

How you’ll make an impact

During this 12 month Graduate Program, you will complete rotations across various departments in risk including due diligence, risk monitoring and disputes, building the foundations to become a multi-skilled customer risk professional. Among the various tasks and projects you will support, you will have the opportunity to: 

  • Showcase your analytical skills, conducting thorough merchant risk assessments  in line with SLAs to mitigate financial and non-financial risks (i.e. anti-money laundering)

  • Demonstrate your problem-solving abilities, through the identification of potential red flags and their associated risks, application of Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) and investigate further when required.

  • Focus on our customers, managing customer disputes, and developing a strong understanding of transaction flows and card scheme rules.

  • Contribute to our efforts to continuously improve, through the identification of potential process enhancements and taking part in relevant projects

Qualifications

What we’re looking for 

You’re a curious, motivated, and innovative operations' enthusiast. The ideal candidate should be excited to dive into the world of digital payments and technology.

Here’s what you’ll bring to the team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field.

  • Proficiency in English.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate information clearly and concisely.

  • Passion to develop your leadership potential.

  • Eagerness to develop a strong understanding of structured processes, and to critically identify areas for process improvements.

  • Must be available to start in September 2025
