The Operations & Execution Manager within the Commercial & Business Client Services Group (CBCS) is responsible for driving operational excellence, execution discipline, and continuous improvement across Commercial, Business & Specialty Banking. This role ensures the successful implementation, operationalization, and sustainment of strategic initiatives that support commercial banking clients, deposit operations, treasury solutions, client onboarding, servicing, and operational risk management. The position provides leadership across process optimization, operational readiness, training strategy, change management, and remediation activities while serving as a trusted advisor to CBCS leadership. The role partners closely with Commercial & Specialty Banking, Retail Banking, Treasury Management, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Technology, and Product teams to ensure efficient, scalable, and well-controlled client service delivery. In addition, this role owns the CBCS operational training framework, ensuring teams are equipped to support evolving business needs, commercial banking products, regulatory expectations, and client experience standards._x000d_
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Serve as a strategic operations partner to CBCS leadership and Commercial & Specialty Banking stakeholders, providing guidance on operational effectiveness, process improvements, risk management, and execution priorities.
- Lead the end-to-end execution of strategic initiatives impacting CBCS operations, including deposit products, treasury management services, client onboarding, servicing, and operational support functions.
- Drive operational excellence through process redesign, automation opportunities, workflow optimization, and simplification efforts that improve efficiency, scalability, control effectiveness, and client experience.
- Oversee operational readiness activities for business changes, including process transitions, organizational changes, policy updates, system implementations, and control enhancements.
- Lead and manage remediation programs related to audits, regulatory findings, risk issues, operational losses, and control deficiencies, ensuring sustainable corrective actions are implemented and maintained.
- Establish and monitor operational performance metrics, service-level agreements (SLAs), productivity measures, and key risk indicators (KRIs) to identify trends and drive performance improvements.
- Develop and maintain operating procedures, job aids, training materials, and governance documentation that support high-quality execution and compliance with applicable policies and regulations.
- Manage multiple concurrent initiatives and operational priorities while coordinating cross-functional teams to achieve targeted business outcomes.
- Identify operational risks, dependencies, gaps, and resource constraints; develop mitigation strategies and provide actionable recommendations to CBCS leadership.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, client focus, and operational excellence across CBCS.
Minimum Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in operations management within business banking and/or commercial banking.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including leading, coaching, developing, and managing operations teams.
- Experience driving process improvement initiatives and implementing operational efficiencies.
