Job Summary
The Operations Exchange Associate is an entry-level rotational role designed for recent college graduates with strong potential and an interest in building a career within the life insurance and annuity industry. This 24-month program provides a comprehensive introduction to core operational functions, offering hands-on experience across the full policy lifecycle.
The program serves as a strategic pipeline for developing future leaders by combining real-world experience, structured development, and exposure to senior leadership.
The Operations Exchange Program consists of four structured six-month rotations across key operational areas. Each rotation is designed to build technical knowledge, business acumen, and leadership capability, while providing meaningful contributions to departmental goals.
Upon successful completion of the 24-month program, Operations Exchange Associates will be well-positioned to transition into a full-time role within the organization, equipped with a strong operational foundation and a broad understanding of the policy lifecycle and business operations.
Below is the tentative six-month rotation series, aligned with the policy lifecycle:
- Ring I: Acquisition
- Ring II: In-Force
- Ring III: Specialized Functions (Underwriting, Claims, etc.)
- Ring IV: Internal Business Partners, potentially including those outside of Operations
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform assigned responsibilities within each department, gaining hands-on experience while contributing to daily operational workflows ?
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with policyholders, beneficiaries, agents, and third parties to provide updates and obtain required information
- Contribute to operational efficiency initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
- Develop and deliver data-driven insights by analyzing workflows, procedures, and training materials to identify gaps, recommend process improvements, and effectively present findings and business recommendations to department leadership.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and customer focus across all responsibilities
- Actively engage in mentorship opportunities by partnering with leaders and peers to support professional growth, enhance business understanding, and contribute to a collaborative learning environment
