Playtech’s IMS unit is looking for an Operations Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, balances attention to detail with big-picture thinking, and has excellent communication skills.

Your influential mission. You will...

• Keep the lights on for critical parts of Playtech’s software and cloud solutions.
• Create automation tooling to carry out configuration and product changes in production systems.
• Constantly re-think and improve our current processes.
• Investigate and analyze problems in production environments using application logs, source code, development tools, and documentation.
• Take an active role in knowledge sharing and ensure effective information flow between all relevant parties.

Components for success. You...

• Are familiar with Linux environments and command-line tools/Bash scripting.
• Know how to work with cloud platforms and tools such as AWS, Kubernetes, and K9s.
• Are comfortable with Java, Python and SQL (Oracle, MySQL).
• Adapt quickly in constantly changing circumstances and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
• Balance strong attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger picture.
• Communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken.
• Bring positive energy and open communication style to the team.
• Possess a strong sense of ownership and an inner drive to continuously improve.

• Experience with configuration management/automation in Puppet.
• Experience with InfluxDB, VictoriaMetrics, and Grafana.
• Experience with Docker and NGINX.
• Experience with Calico.
