ScottishPower are hiring an Operational Contracts Manager to lead the operational delivery of varied contract portfolio for our Corporate Business Function, General Services UK (GSUK) to maximise contract value and mitigate risk.
What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the General Manager Building Operations (UK), you’ll lead the day-to-day contract management and governance duties relating to operational delivery of catering, mailroom, travel and print & reprographics contracts.
Bringing specialist knowledge of operational contract management, you’ll identify, manage and deliver contract deliverables through the supply chain to support the business’ commercial and performance objectives.
You’ll support the UK General Manager Building Operations to deliver GSUK’s annual Opex and Capex budgets for the operational portfolio, and act as key point of contact for the Building Operations team in relation to contract delivery, performance and budgeting.
Working closely with our GSUK Commercial team ensure that operational contract delivery is aligned to contract scope and terms for designated contracts. You’ll lead operational contract meetings with supply chain, own the payment process for key chain contracts, monitor and implement contractual obligations and make recommendations including risks to key stakeholders.
What you’ll bring
- Open, inclusive, collaborative and approachable style of delivery
- Educated to degree level in Contract Management discipline or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrable commercial contract and negotiation skills, with experience in managing delivery of high value Opex and Capex contracts in a project / operational environment.
- Detailed understanding of contract management processes with experience of commercial contracts
- Ability to work through technical issues, formulate solutions and ensure appropriate courses of action are taken.
- Ability to assess, prioritise and confidently make the right decisions in a dynamic service environment whilst anticipating issues and putting in place effective strategies to manage these.
