Redefining mental health care to be centered in relationships, backed by research, and powered by thoughtful technology.
The Role
Lead supply-and-demand forecasting for the psychiatry service line: build and maintain S&D models, integrate models into core data infrastructure, define operational metrics (capacity, clinician utilization, hiring targets), run forecast vs. actual audits, and partner cross-functionally to guide hiring, resource allocation, and operational improvements.
Summary Generated by Built In

Two Chairs is building a new kind of mental health system based on the idea that the status quo isn’t good enough. Industry-best clinician experiences, better client outcomes, groundbreaking innovation, and access to the highest quality care are how we’ll raise the bar for the entire industry. With that, we're excited and honored to have been recognized as a 2025 Great Place to Work, 2024 Fortune Best Workplaces in the Bay Area, and 2023 San Francisco Business Times Bay Area Best Places to Work.

Diversity, equity, and inclusion are the principles guiding how we build our business and teams. We encourage interested candidates from diverse backgrounds to apply even if they don't think they meet every expectation of the role.

About the role

As an Operations Analytics Manager on our Operations team, you will be at the forefront of driving data-informed decision-making for our established therapy business and our rapidly expanding psychiatry business line. The Supply & Demand (S&D) team directly impacts the organization's highest-stakes margin and revenue decisions, and this role provides the modeling and analytical horsepower necessary to navigate complex operational variables.

You'll be responsible for building our initial Psychiatry S&D model, integrating it into our core data infrastructure, and maintaining it as we launch across new markets. Collaborating cross-functionally with Growth, Finance, Data Science, Clinical Recruiting, and Clinical Operations, you will establish capacity metrics that directly guide hiring velocity, resource allocation, and cross-licensing strategies.

Core Areas of Responsibility

Model Building & Supply Strategy (40%)

  • Build, maintain, and refine end-to-end S&D forecasting models across current and upcoming launches (e.g., state, payer, channel launches)
  • Incorporate complex business variables into supply and demand models (e.g., variable session frequencies, clinician ramp times, and cross-licensing constraints)
  • Evaluate unit economics and recommend operational levers to ensure business strategy aligns directly with revenue, margin, and clinician utilization targets

Data Infrastructure & Operational Analytics (35%)

  • Partner closely with Data Science and Data Engineering to co-create models and transition standalone new models into our core data infrastructure
  • Define, govern, and track standardized operational metrics, including capacity, clinician utilization rates, hiring targets, and client time-to-care metrics
  • Perform regular "forecast vs. actuals" audits as new demand data becomes available, refining key assumptions (e.g., hiring velocity, client demand, clinician ramp-up schedules)

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Continuous Improvement (25%)

  • Partner cross-functionally with Growth, Finance, Clinical Recruiting, and Clinical Operations to communicate strategic insights and align cross-functional priorities
  • Support executive decision-making on key operational trade-offs, such as determining clinician hiring volumes versus expanding cross-licensing for existing clinicians
  • Identify operational bottlenecks across the end-to-end recruitment and patient lifecycle, driving scalable process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality

Impact and Success Indicators

Where you’ll make an impact in the first 90 days:

  • Develop fluency with the psychiatry service line, and sketch out a modeling framework that will support service line expansion
  • Establish strong cross-functional relationships across Growth, Finance, Data Science, and Clinical Ops, delivering initial analysis on utilization and capacity metrics

Where you’ll make an impact in the first year:

  • Build and deploy the initial Psychiatry S&D model to guide operational decisions
  • Implement scalable forecasting and reporting tools to support long-term, multi-state growth
  • Partner with the Data team to integrate S&D inputs into the broader data and modeling infrastructure, and ensure coherence across therapy and psychiatry models
  • Deliver measurable improvements to clinician utilization, unit economics, and client time-to-care efficiency

 You’ll be successful if you:

  • Have 5+ years of relevant work experience in an analytical role, preferably in banking, management consulting, finance, tech operations, or other highly analytical role
  • Excel at analyzing complex data sets and building sophisticated forecasting models, including proficiency in analytics/BI tools (e.g., SQL, Looker). Experience collaborating with Data Science teams to co-create models is a plus.
  • Bring a big-picture perspective and understand how operational levers (unit economics, capacity tradeoffs, session frequency) directly drive financial health and business outcomes
  • Work effectively with diverse teams across Finance, Growth, Recruiting, and Clinical leadership, translating quantitative insights into actionable strategies
  • Are comfortable navigating unstructured problems—building solutions from 0 to 1 and iteratively refining models until they are fully production-ready

The offer range is dependent on qualifications and experience. New hires can reasonably expect an offer between $140,000 and $170,000.

  • Equity in a high-growth start-up
