Operations Analyst

Position Overview:

This role will be within Operations who are responsible for trade capture, trade confirmations, settlements, reconciliations, PnL calculation and reconciliation, treasury functions and position life-cycle events within the firm for multiple asset types. 

• Manage all aspects of trade validation, maintenance, affirmation, trade settlement and reconciliation for multiple asset types.
• Validate, process and settle all periodic events to ensure the integrity of the entire trade life cycle.
• Perform position and cash reconciliations.
• Perform T+0 trade affirmation in Traiana, Markitwire, Omgeo CTM and ICE Link with counterparties to minimize risk.
• Processing corporate actions, option exercises, OTC credit events and other similar tasks.
• Processing and prioritizing ad hoc functions for stakeholders at Squarepoint.
• As a senior member of the Operations team in EMEA, the candidate will be required to identify control gaps and improvements, then work with Technology, Project Management and senior stakeholders to implement those improvements.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years Middle/Back Office in a buyside / sell side business - experience covering trade processing, collateral, confirmations, settlements, cash, position and trade reconciliations.
• Demonstrate proficiency in as many of these asset types as possible: Equities, Equity Swaps/CFDs, Cleared Futures and Options, Corporate & Government Bonds, Credit Default Swaps, Interest Rate Swaps, FX Spot & Forwards, Commodities and any new products that come to market at Squarepoint.
• Understand the importance of our team concept. Establish long-lasting organisational relationships that will foster a productive work environment.
• Demonstrate proficiency in written and oral communication skills.
• Track record in working on system and process improvements, and new business initiatives.
• Understand the relevant technology and applications that are required to excel in the role, such as: Excel, Traiana, Markitwire, Omgeo, Northern Trust Passport and Bloomberg.
