Invesco Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) is evolving its capabilities and is looking for new Team members. Enterprise Risk is a global Second Line of Defense function that engages with Invesco Business teams to facilitate delivery and oversight of the risk management framework and provide a consistent, aligned approach to risk management across the firm.

The Enterprise Risk Management team, comprised of dynamic, diverse, and highly collaborative members, drives value to Invesco through delivery of a comprehensive and standardized view of risk, integrated and underpinned by data and metrics. Your Role

The Operational Risk Manager will support the Global Head of Risk Assurance and provide oversight to risk advisory activities for Invesco’s Technology and Operations organization. Partnering with a team of subject matter experts, a key focus of this role will be to partner with the business to support risk-based decision making and strengthen transparency and accountability of risks at both regional and enterprise levels.
You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Driving the execution of all aspects of the Enterprise Risk Management framework and policy.

  • Developing and fostering a culture of risk mitigation and accountability within the organization.

  • Building strong relationships and partnering with business stakeholders to provide enterprise risk advice and support for business-driven initiatives and objectives.

  • Collaborate closely with Internal Audit, Global Compliance, and other assurance functions to provide independent checks and challenges to the first line of defense.

  • Assessing the effectiveness of the policies, framework, standards in addressing the organization’s risk profile.

  • Oversee the identification, escalation, reporting, and tracking of risk incidents in alignment with global policies to ensure effective resolution and mitigation.

  • Coordinating regular risk and control assessments and reporting for key Middle Office operations.

  • Assessing the effectiveness of key controls to determine if they sufficiently comply with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry standards and mitigate risks.

  • Provide subject matter expertise in the design and development of key risk indicators.

  • Maintaining an awareness of all regulatory requirements and changes within the industry and their impact on our services.

  • Deliver actionable insights and strategic recommendations to global leaders, influencing team direction and decision-making through effective communication.

The Experience You Bring:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of risk management experience working in an asset management, Big 4 and/or Consulting roles

  • Undergraduate degree and MBA or master’s degree in a relevant subject matter preferred

  • Asset management or financial services industry experience preferred.

  • Working knowledge of current and emerging technologies, automation tools

  • Working knowledge of methods used to perform risk analysis, risk assessments, control assessments, vulnerability assessments and audit management.

  • Working knowledge of regulatory and corporate requirements such as SOX and SSAE18 / ISAE3402 as both a SOC1/SOC2 service organization and report user.

  • Demonstrated experience influencing across functional boundaries and/or globally.

  • Experience with prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously under timelines and shifting priorities.

  • Experience working directly with leadership as well as individual contributors at all levels, including executive level, both inside and outside of a company.

  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills including executive presentation skills.

  • Strong technology skills including use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)

  • Preferred certifications include FRM, CRISC, CISSP, CIPP, CISA, or CPA, highlighting expertise in operational risk and compliance frameworks.
