Key Responsibilities:
- Design, install, configure, and secure OpenShift Clusters in an on-premise environment.
- Architect OpenShift environments to meet application needs: compute, storage, networking, and security.
- Perform OpenShift cluster upgrades, security patching, and ongoing maintenance.
- Administer Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems and apply DoD-mandated security controls.
- Manage container orchestration, Kubernetes networking (DNS, load balancers, node ports, etc.).
- Maintain and monitor server, storage, and networking hardware.
- Oversee DevSecOps toolchain integrations using GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Apply Security+ or DoD 8570 Level II security standards to all system implementations.
- Ensure system availability, issue remediation, and performance tuning for mission-critical workloads.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of RHEL system administration experience
- 3+ years deploying and maintaining OpenShift in on-prem environments
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes and containerized applications
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD, DevSecOps pipelines, and automation
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (10+ years of related work)
- Active TS/SCI clearance (CI Poly eligibility)
- Security+ or DoD 8570 Level II certification (or obtain within 90 days)
Preferred Experience:
- RHEL certification (RHCSA or RHCE)
- NetApp storage management
- Cisco switch and network administration
- VMware ESXi virtualization management
- Familiarity with ITSM tools like Service+
Required Clearance
- Active DoD TS/SCI (with ability to obtain CI poly)
