The Role
Opportunity (Part-Time): Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Bottom Line Up Front: Hoplite Group is seeking an experienced OSINT SME to support a multi-phase curriculum development for a U.S. Government Institutional Capacity Building initiative for a partner nation’s military intelligence academy. This role will focus exclusively on OSINT expertise advising on curriculum content, validating course materials, and mentoring faculty to ensure training is operationally relevant and meets NATO and U.S.-aligned standards.
Location: Remote support (CONUS) and OCONUS travel for in-person foreign engagements as part of a US Government team.

Objective:
To provide expert-level OSINT advisory support to the development and delivery of a comprehensive OSINT training program. The SME will translate complex OSINT concepts into clear, teachable material and ensure the curriculum aligns with NATO and U.S. intelligence standards.
Required Qualifications:
• 5+ years dedicated experience collecting, analyzing, and reporting OSINT in intelligence, law enforcement, cybersecurity, or national security contexts. Prior experience in a military, intelligence community, or security agency environment.in the CENCOM AOR is a strong advantage.
• Proven proficiency with OSINT tools, techniques, and methodologies (advanced search, SOCMINT, GEOINT from open sources, Dark/Deep Web collection, data analysis, OPSEC, attribution management).
• Experience in instructional designed and tradecraft development translating OSINT concepts into training material, case studies, and practical exercises.
• Ability to Create and update training modules, courses, and certification programs aligned with mission needs Experience with the ADDIE model of instructional design is required.
• Experience in integrating best practices in developing individual and collective OSINT training and analytical skill progression. Measuring effectiveness and recommended adjustments. Familiarity with NATO and/or U.S. standards for intelligence and training is required.
• Work collaboratively with US and international stakeholder utilizing in-person and virtual facilitation techniques and tools to align training and operational priorities
Certifications & Education:
• Qualification as a Military Instructor or equivalent certification.
• Relevant OSINT certifications (e.g., GIAC GOSI, SANS SEC497, or equivalent military/government OSINT courses).
• Bachelor’s degree in Intelligence Studies, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or National Security.
• US Secret Security Clearance Required.

- Standard months: 20 hours/month for remote prep and support.
- Engagement months: 100 hours/month for travel and in-person delivery.
- Post-engagement: Support as needed.
- Next engagement: 26-30 October 2025.
