SUMMARY
The Onsite Manager provides on-site coordination for all phases of project installation, including coordination of labor, vendors, material, and equipment, while ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed, work is proceeding on schedule and within budget, and safety is being strictly enforced. The Onsite Manager is responsible for schedule, inspections, quality control, and job site safety.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversees all phases of project installation and coordinates related services, activities, and labor.
- Maintains constant communication with General Project Manager, providing regular updates regarding installation status, progress against schedule and budget, and any issues.
- Manages labor hours, materials, equipment and subcontractors to ensure cost control, communicating deviations to General Project Manager.
- Works closely with General Project Manager to monitor and update the installation schedule, follow critical path, stay abreast of deadlines and penalties, and maintain awareness of supplier deadlines and dependencies.
- Orders materials and schedules necessary inspections throughout installation.
- Directs work of TGW personnel and subcontractors to ensure adherence to project deadlines, quality requirements, and project budget over the duration of installation phase.
- Maintains construction and installation schedule, allocating subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion.
- Collaborates with Safety personnel to uphold TGW safety standards, training personnel onsite, maintaining safety documentation, and enforcing all safety procedures.
- Monitors compliance with TGW installation and assembly standards throughout equipment installation phase, ensuring quality control for installed products
- Provides technical instruction and facilitates necessary training of onsite personnel.
- Maintain positive relationships with customers, general contractors, suppliers and other employees.
- Ensures paperwork is completed and maintained, including daily reports, timecards, toolbox talks, handover documents, inventory control, etc.
- Creates and maintains relevant documentation checklists for the installation work and commissioning.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
High school diploma required. Associate’s degree or technical certificate preferred.
Experience:
Seven (7) or more years supervising projects in material-handling or related industry.
Travel:
90% of travel as required.
Skills & Abilities
- Ability to manage a diverse team and delegate responsibilities appropriately.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and conflict-resolution ability.
- Familiarity with conveyor installation process.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprint drawings, submittals, and specifications.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work effectively with subcontracted labor.
- Some familiarity of controls aspects of material-handling equipment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.)
- Ability to complete OSHA 30 safety training.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk around industrial and/or warehouse environment for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Ability to operate computers, tablets, phones, and other electronic devices.
- Visual and auditory abilities to work safely with and around moving and/or motorized equipment, machinery, parts, and electricity that require safety protocols
- Ability to move and use muscles for extended periods of time without fatigue.
- Ability to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
- Ability to communicate regularly with others verbally and in writing.
- Ability to tolerate exposure to job site temperature fluctuations due to seasonal weather in geographic region.
- Installation only: Ability to operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and other heavy industrial equipment, with appropriate training and certification

Other Requirements
This position requires work at TGW customer sites. TGW’s customers may require background checks before accessing their sites. Refusal to participate in a customer-required background check may result in a customer barring access and a subsequent reduction in work.
