The Role:At The Indigo Road Hospitality Group, we believe our people are the foundation of everything we do. We’re looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and people-driven Onboarding & Training Coordinator to help bring our training programs to life.
As the Onboarding & Training Coordinator, you'll support training logistics across restaurant openings, company-wide leadership development, and ongoing education classes, working closely with our Director of Training, Director of Operations, and Director of Culture. You’ll be the backbone of our training operations—organizing calendars, prepping materials, coordinating communications, and ensuring every training program runs smoothly. The Onboarding & Training Coordinator will support both behind-the-scenes administration and on-the-ground facilitation of training efforts across the company.
What we will ask of you:
- Lead onboarding training sessions helping to train and communicate all standards with new leaders and administrators.
- Assist in the completion of hourly onboarding for all current and new locations.
- Train and supervise team members on onboarding process.
- Act as a key point of communication to help ensure alignment, organization, and follow-through throughout the onboarding process.
- Create and distribute announcements to welcome new managers to the company and for recent manager promotions.
- Retain historical HR records by filing and keeping past and current records in Paylocity.
- Participate in weekly HR Department meeting.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.
- Assist with various HR tasks and projects as needed.
- Coordinate all logistics for onsite training refreshers, and "Train the Trainer" programs
- Maintain training calendars for company-wide initiatives, including onboarding, leadership development, and continued education
- Distribute training outlines and manuals to managers prior to sessions
- Organize class materials, track attendance, and follow up with participants and instructors
- Schedule and facilitate bi-monthly foundational leadership classes at the Charleston home office, including managing room bookings, calendars, binders, lunch, and supplies
- Send out individualized class schedules for attendees and keep team rosters updated
- Follow up with on-site teams to ensure training programs are maintained and up-to-date
- Organize weekly virtual training sessions, sending reminders, managing calendar invites, and tracking attendance
- Proofread and maintain accurate training documents and materials with a sharp eye for detail
- Assist in organizing travel logistics for in-person trainings and coordinate with the executive assistant for communication across teams
Requirements for Success:
- 2+ years in hospitality or administrative support preferred
- Based in Charleston, SC and available to work from the home office
- Ability to travel for all new location openings.
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with Open Table or restaurant operations
- High attention to detail and organization

- Must be able to work in a fast paced, growing company culture environment.
- Strong verbal and written communicator with a passion for proofreading and accuracy

- Flexible to work nights and weekends when necessary, based on business and staffing needs.
