About you

We are looking for a dynamic, qualified fund accountant to join our Client Success team. This position provides a unique chance for a data literate accountant to get hands-on with our proprietary technology platform. You will be responsible for client service and the day-to-day management of clients who leverage our managed data service to collect, transform, validate and deliver trusted data for private markets. Working closely with the data engineering and product teams, you will also contribute by providing insights and advocating for clients to help shape the future direction of Lantern. 

This role combines deep fund accounting expertise with strong project management and client-facing skills to ensure accurate data onboarding, smooth transitions, and long-term client success.

Our non-negotiables

  • 7+ years of experience in fund accounting, private equity operations, or fund administration
  • Experience leading teams as line management is part of the role. 
  • Strong understanding of private equity fund structures, capital activity, fees, and waterfalls etc
  • Proven experience leading complex client onboarding or data implementation projects
  • Comfortable working with data platforms, integrations, and financial systems
  • Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills

Ideally

  • Familiarity with CRM systems, e.g. HubSpot.
  • Comfort with data tools (Excel, SQL, or BI platforms a plus)

About the role

  • Comfortable leading client conversations, including commercial discussions. On-boarding new clients, addressing on-going BAU and maintaining a regular cadence of client interactions to ensure a successful long-term client partnerships.
  • Get hands-on with technology to support end-to-end client onboarding, from kick-off through production readiness
  • Translate fund accounting and private equity requirements into data, system, and workflow configurations
  • Interpret fund documents (LPAs, PPMs, side letters) to ensure accurate data models and calculations
  • Oversee data ingestion, validation, reconciliation, and historical data migrations
  • Help analyse and interpret client usage data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with the support team to investigate and resolve client-reported issues
  • Identify risks, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvements to onboarding processes
  • Contribute to internal knowledge bases, guides, and client-facing resources
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Sales teams to deliver a seamless onboarding experience
