Summary: 

 As an Offshore Production Engineer, you will play a key role in the production of a variety of our market leading and highly innovative IOT Products and technologies. In your role, you will be responsible for all aspects of manufacturing processes in our offshore contract manufacturers. You will work on an international cross-functional team and play a direct role throughout the design validation, production, and execution process of our products. You will be responsible for managing disposition and resolution of quality issues in production, conduct root cause and failure analysis processes, and solve problems that yield improvement for a variety of our IOT products.  

As a key resource of a fast-growing startup like Trackonomy, you are expected to be flexible in supporting other assignments such as, but not limited to, sourcing of alternate solutions, bridging communication between headquarter and offshore suppliers, audit as well as other activities to enable success of our IOT solutions in the field.

Due to the time difference in various offices, you are also expected to work in flexible hours and accommodate communication requests.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

⦁    Collaborate with Engineers and Product Managers to explore solutions, find opportunities and takes concepts from ideation to execution.
⦁    Review specifications and implement in the offshore production.
⦁    Interface with contract manufacturers and suppliers on new product introduction, production requirements and resolve issues to meet production targets.
⦁    Responsible for testing a variety of features with electrical, thermal, mechanical, and other embedded features, ensuring that all products produced are of high quality and best-in-class
⦁    Investigate, provide disposition and resolution to issues during and after production.
⦁    Support sourcing efforts.

Qualifications

Education, Experience, Knowledge:

⦁    Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
⦁    5 + years of experience working in product testing or related position
⦁    Strong ability to debug and troubleshoot systems, devices, and circuitry
⦁    Experience with ECAD tools (Altium, Eagle, Kicad) and have performed circuitry and PCB design. 
⦁    Demonstrated ability to apply engineering principles to find solutions to complex problems
⦁    Can use electrical troubleshooting equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, spectrum analyzer, logic analyzer)
⦁    Experience with analyzing test results, yield, throughput, and other metrics to improve manufacturing quality. 
⦁    Working knowledge of quality disciplines and tools such as 8D. 
⦁    Maintains strong knowledge of the best practices in manufacturing methods, trends and developments in technology and equipment and can apply this knowledge to give the company an edge
⦁    Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese
⦁    Strong time management skills and deadline oriented.
⦁    Ability to work independently and in flexible working hours.
