Support the development, enhancement, and day‑to‑day operation of LME technology systems, including trading, market data, and supporting platforms. This entry‑level engineering role focuses on delivering high‑quality software, ensuring system stability, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams across LME.Job Duties:
Job Duties
- Develop and maintain components within LME trading and market data systems under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews to uphold LME technology standards.
- Assist in monitoring system performance, troubleshooting incidents, and supporting production stability.
- Contribute to the preparation of release materials, runbooks, and technical documentation.
- Participate in enhancement projects, requirement clarifications, and testing activities.
- Collaborate with business, QA, infrastructure, and global LME/HKEX technology teams to support operational needs.
- Adhere to LME SDLC, change management, and IT security procedures.
Requirement
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related fields.
- 0–2 years’ experience in software development (internships included).
- Knowledge of Java, C++, or Python; scripting skills (Shell/Python) an advantage.
- Basic understanding of trading systems, market data concepts, or financial technology preferred (not mandatory).
- Familiarity with Linux environments, networking basics, and Git version control.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and willingness to learn complex systems.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within a global technology team.
