Overview:
In a small, all-volunteer organization, office tasks are crucial for smooth operations.
Reports to – ask your questions of:
1. Lead Office staff
2. Officer on duty
Key Tasks:
File Maintenance (if trained)
Coding
Filing
· Scanning documents – printer
· Shredding documents
· Writing (thank you notes, post cards, etc.)
· Inventory and monitoring office and kitchen supplies
· Organizing office supplies and storage and kitchen cabinets
· Act as backup for:
o Answering the phone (take messages, and direct inquiries to the appropriate person or department)
o receiving donations and conducting sales of merchandise
· Provide support for events, conventions and meetings
o Printing
o Name badge assembly
o Material/Document assembly
o Booth/event supplies
· PCO and Candidate Support
o Literature bundling
o Sign disbursement using appropriate record keeping
o Receiving donations
o Literature and sign inventory
Maintain a clean office
Ensure the kitchen is clean at the end of the shift
Monitor refrigerator
Empty garbage at the end of the week
Run vacuum as needed
Report any maintenance issues
· Special projects as needed
Skills Required
- File maintenance (coding, filing)
- Scanning documents and operating printer/scanner
- Shredding documents
- Writing thank-you notes, postcards, and general correspondence
- Inventory and monitoring office and kitchen supplies
- Organizing office supplies, storage, and kitchen cabinets
- Act as backup for answering the phone and directing messages
- Receive donations and conduct sales of merchandise
- Support events, conventions and meetings (printing, name badge assembly, material assembly, booth supplies)
- PCO and candidate support (literature bundling, sign disbursement with record keeping, receiving donations, inventory)
- Maintain a clean office and kitchen; monitor refrigerator, empty garbage, run vacuum
- Report any maintenance issues
- Undertake special projects as needed
What We Do
The Spokane County Democratic Central Committee (SCDCC), known as the Spokane County Democrats, is a local political organization in Washington state. It focuses on electing Democratic candidates to public office and promoting a platform based on human rights, social justice, and economic equity. The organization works to register voters, endorse candidates, and advocate for policies that benefit the community and ensure equal opportunity for all.
