Job Summary:
This temporary position provides clerical and administrative support to the Accounts Receivable Department at Ascend Clinical. The role is responsible for requesting medical records from healthcare providers, retrieving claims and supporting medical documentation from various internal and external systems, and submitting required documentation to insurance carriers. The incumbent will assist in maintaining accurate records, and ensuring all assigned tasks are completed efficiently, effectively, and within established timelines. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential for success in this role. This is an onsite position based in Ascend Clinical's Colorado Springs office. This role will start off being 3 months with possibility to extend or convert to fulltime.
Responsibilities:
· Provide clerical and administrative support to the Accounts Receivable Department· Request and obtain medical records and supporting documentation from healthcare providers in a timely manner
· Retrieve claims and medical documentation from various internal and external systems
· Prepare, organize, and submit required documentation to insurance carriers to support claims processing, appeals, and reimbursement activities
· Maintain accurate and organized electronic and paper records
· Review documents for completeness and accuracy prior to submission to insurance carriers
· Ensure confidentiality and security of patient, provider, and company information in compliance with applicable HIPAA regulations and company policies
· Support special projects and perform other administrative duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or GED required
· Minimum of one (1) year of experience providing clerical or administrative support in a professional office environment
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
· Proficient computer skills with the ability to navigate multiple systems and learn new software applications quickly
· Strong data entry and 10-key skills with a high degree of accuracy
· Ability to accurately and efficiently log documents, retrieve information, and look up account numbers
- $18-21/hr
